No matter, how much the Indian societies have accepted westernization, in some matters, they are still very orthodox and give treatment accordingly. The same goes with the treatment the people belonging to the LGBTIQA+ receive. And to stop that, the Madras HQ had given the judgment of changing their nomenclature. Many relevant examples were given along with the nomenclature of Harijan to the lower caste by Gandhiji which was always opposed by Ambedkar as it does not change their fate. Changing the fates of such category of people is a big battle in itself where the Fundamental Rights are being violated in their case every time, and that too in the open, but no action is taken, even when there is strict regulation against such acts, but there are laws against corruption and dowry as well, and still they are practiced. Such atrocities would continue to exist until and unless society changes its mindset.
