This was an excellent video Will. The chip shot from the side hill is one of my many nightmares!!! I will practice your technique. I do have a question for you. Have any of your students delt with trail arm Golfer's Elbow? As a right hander, I cannot apply pressure to the club on the downswing with my right arm/elbow. The pain is excruciating. Saw my provider and got a cortisone shot and I have been doing my own therapy. It starts to feel good and then I go out and "bang" !!! Pain again. I only have a couple of months left for the golfing season. Any advice Sir?

Re: plugged lie in a bunker...would you also advise switching from a sand wedge to a pitching wedge to allow you to cut into the sand more easily?
I would stick with a SW as the PW will come out lower and role out more but on a longer bunker shot a PW can work.
Need to figure out how to play more backward flop shots when playing.
You need that shot for the 1 in a billion shot.

Shots you really need to break 85:
1) Reliable Driver Swing, not losing them off the tee
2) Hit your targets on approach, ~50% of the time
3) Chip it close ~50% of the time (choosing targets that minimize missing short-sided help)
4) Lag it close ~75% of the time
5) Make 3 footers ~90+% of the time (assuming you’re putting it out 😂)

Most of these shots you won’t even come across in 18 holes. I don’t think they’re necessary to break 85.
I appreciate your perspective. I see that each one of these shots are ones that 90’s shooters have not be taught how to hit so they usually lead to blow up holes. I have found that one blow up hole often leads to two or three bad holes in a row. That what turns a 84 into a 91. I have found that by being able to hit these shots when they do occur enable you to make bogies and eliminate blow up holes.
Your thoughts?
To break 85 consistently you can't be making many doubles, you might come across one or 2 of these scenarios in a round and if you don't know how to play them you can wreck your score. They're not the key to breaking 85 but they can be key to doing it more consistently
