    I have been scoring 89 on a regular basis. Looked at this video last night and played today and shot a 82. The scoring method works. I'm staying with you!

    I would like to see you repeat this with a medium to high handicapper. Very informative, thank you.

      Great suggestion! I will definitely do that in future videos I would say though that when I’m teaching my high handicap golfers I go through the same process I just simplify it down by asking what shot would you like to hit? How good would that feel if you had it and I’ll go ahead and swing with confidence.

    I just finished reading Every Shot Must Have a Purpose and what you're showing in this video is pretty much what the authors teach in that book...visualize and commit to a shot in the think box, and then once you cross the line from the think box to the play box, you trust your process so that the shot will happen as you visualized it. They even suggest verbalizing exactly what shot you want to hit in the think box. Great video

      Absolutely!! Pia and Lynn are friends and they’ve done such an amazing job on helping golfers to understand the importance of visualization commitment and acceptance.

    I have created and committed to a routine foe my putting and it has transformed me from a very bad putter for my handicap to probably putting better than my handicap.
    Next step is trying to build a full shot routine. Saving this video for when I have 25 mins to set aside for it.

      @yesman10 visualization is such a key to great golf and confidence. We all get lost in our thinking about the swing when we struggle and can use seeing the right shot and commitment to get back in the zone.

    I’ve been playing golf for 5 years and score regularly in the 85-90 range. This season implemented your method and yesterday shot a 77. My goal to break 80 is checked off my list.

    I agree with your commitment and visualization but also picking the ball landing on the drive would have been in my check list. He was Lucky to be in between them. A better choice would have been mid to right side of fairway and take bunkers out

    Can you go into more what is ground yardage

    • @Daviddear30
      @Daviddear30 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      I’m thinking that’s actual distance along the ground. No elevation no wind etc

    • @thescoringmethod
      @thescoringmethod  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      100% spot on ground yardage is what you hit with your laser to the flagstick. So the physical distance between you and your target. Then you have to add in playing distant, which includes all the variables that makes Golf such a great game lie, wind, elevation, temperature, role out (firmness of green), altitude, and many more.

      Were you able to download the worksheet? It explains the concept of commitment and acceptance measuring a score out of 10.

    You can also go through process, hit the shot BUT not get a good result, ie bad bounce, or putt jits a bump.
    So also better to focus on process not outcome, but you didnt mention this in video. Some examples would be good.

    • @adl9705
      @adl9705 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      his PDF explains that. im gonna go test this method today, i hit the ball relatively well but my mental game is absolute trash. best round is 70 and i remember my mental game being strong that day. i wonder if following this method will help me bc i cant even break 85 anymore with a better swing.

    • @thescoringmethod
      @thescoringmethod  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My answer would be looking at the PGA TOUR players, who have amazing swings, but doubt that confident and depression, and end up, choking and losing the tournament. Versus the world beaters who have quirky swings such as Arnold Palmer, Lee Trevino, Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth and the list goes on, but they all believe in their golf swing and swing with confidence and acceptance. So I would say best way to start breaking 85 again start to remember the feelings of what it was like when you were playing shooting 70 and replicate those same feeling and actions now on the course.

    • @thescoringmethod
      @thescoringmethod  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for the comments. Hope
      I can explain if you take a look at the worksheet and maybe rewatch the video, the concept behind acceptance only comes when you’re 100% committed to the process this allows you to brush off bad luck or bad swings because you did everything you were in control of.
