    Unless this thing was tuned like 10 months ago it won't be the first but cool video none the less. Great to have a good walk around of the car

      The ECUTEK racerom features have only been released in the last couple of weeks for the GRY.

    Nice GRY mate. I used to have a gen 1 BRZ, but ended up having to sell it. Looking at a GR Yaris but haven't had a chance to test drive one yet. Reviews are saying the car is fairly quick stock, but would you say now it's tuned its what it should have had from factory?

      For the power I have now, if it had it from factory, the retail u would pay for a Yaris would be a lot higher.. that’s what I’ll say 😂

      I got a price from apparently the best tuning shop in Melbourne for EcuTEK racerom with multiple features at $1395. How are you liking the Rallye? I'm looking to pick one up hopefully later this year.

      @@JasonISF That's pretty reasonable. Really enjoying the new car. Still running it in so I haven't been able to push it yet. I was going to hold out out for the new car, but given the expected price rise and the abomination of a dash, I decided to get a gen 1 instead. It's going in for frontal ppf this week as I'll probably get back into hill climbs and rallysprints again once I've upgraded the suspension and bought a second set of rims with some r-specs on them. So I want to protect the front of the car. I'll also get some front mudflaps to stop stone chips down the side of the car. First mod will be a seat lowering kit for both driver and passenger though. Surprised at the stock positions, especially the passenger seat. My 15 year old son's head touches the roof when he's sitting next to me. He's about 5'10" at the moment. Also just ordered the JDM water spray system to retrofit into the car. Looks like a fun project my son and I can do on a weekend and it will be good for short blats like hill climbs or rallysprints.

      @@bcm70 yeah I'm in two minds about the 'evolved' one as I don't think I could be comfortable with modding a brand new car or driving it as hard as I want to. That dash is an interesting one, I understand the reasoning behind it but they could have made it look a little less 80s Volvo bus dash. Also I think there is going to be a significant price increase compared to the gen 1 and that difference spent on the 'old' car would certainly make it perform better than the new one; the aftermarket for these is incredible. Re seating there's a few kits out of the UK that look good for lowering the seat, though I'm hoping at only 177cm tall the driver's seat will be ok, but we'll see. That's great you have your son interested in it, I'm looking forward to later when my 2 yo boy will be able to do similar too!

      @@bcm70 also PPF is great, I'm a self employed detailer and that's the first thing that goes on any new car I buy, even if it's just the headlights to stop them going yellow or the door cups etc.
      Oh and definitely mudflaps on a road rally car are a must 👍

      @@JasonISF I'm only 173cm myself and I don't find the driver's seat positioning that good. You do feel like you're sitting on the car, rather than in the car. I'm hoping when I lower the seat and my legs are stretching out towards the pedals, instead of down on them, I'll find a more natural driving position, as at the moment I can't find the exact spot. The seats themselves are a bit flat in the base and don't have much in the way of bolster, even though they look good. I have a Mk3 Renault Megane RS that I'm in the process of selling and even their non-recaro Cup seats are much much better than the GR seats in terms of hugging you and position. The DNA lowering kits looks good and shouldn't add too much weight. Not cheap though! Re the price difference, I suspect it will be 10k on road or thereabouts which is a set of MCA Reds, a tune and some rims and rubber. And I don't have to sit in front of that terrible dash.

      @@Lewisandcars200-210wkw is the limit on stock clutch. When I had 206wkw It would start slipping on track. 155wkw is stock.

      @@onehorsepower yes and Horsepower = Torque x RPM / 5,252. fyi i made 400nm at 3700rpm which is 281hp/209kw which aligns to what i've said "200-210wkw is the limit on stock clutch" i have dyno sheets of this back in 2021 if youre interested.

    Has to be catted anyway otherwise it wont be street legal. Which voids insurance.😮
