Nice operation. Here in southern Michigan and northern Ohio we farm 8000 acres of corn wheat and soybeans along with doublecropsoybeans and cattle. We custom farm and harvest for others as well. We run a 500 rowtrac and 580 quadtrac as our main tractors both are afs connect models along with a johndeere 9560 rt . We run 2 gleaner s98 and a johndeere 9870 sts combines with 40 foot truflex razor heads and 12 row gerinhof folding corn heads . I'm a newer subscriber but I have went through and watched all your videos. You are a family farm that is similar to my family's. Great content with excellent explanation. Hello from S.C. Thanks for the shop tour... really nice!! Sure have a big investment in that shop, for sure. Also look forward to seeing the new red equipment when you get it home. Have a blessed week guys!
@@iversfarms I take my family down their every year. I live in Anderson Co, which is upstate. Myrtle is about 4 1/2 hours away. I was born and lived my early life in Kentucky.
I love the new all red equipment lineup. Except for the 4020 of course. Can't wait to see it after the paint job. Apparently you just forgot to check the refrigerator option on the 380.
When changing airbags on tractors or trailers you can take all the hardware off on the old airbags. Then unhook all your airlines, start your truck up putting air to your bags, plug the airline with your finger. The air will lift your frame up of tractor or trailer, slip old bag out when the frame raises and slide the new bag in. Take your finger off the airline, it will slowly let the frame down on the new airbag. You don’t need any jacks or anything. Makes it pretty simple!,!!
My experience with a No-Lube 5th wheel brings two things to mind. The first is that you must ensure that the ground circuit through pigtail is in good order. Having a mixed fleet of greased 5th wheels and teflon no-lube 5th wheels was a nightmare for me. if you change one over, please change them all. You’ll be happy with the add on Minimizer type. Never let anyone ever grease it though.
Great tour of the shop by the boss. It was like walking through a hardware store (or a museum). And Christmas in January too! Great new machinery you got there! I think we'll look forward to spring right along with you. You probably can't wait to get in the fields.
Awsome shop tour. Really like the caseih row unit. Buddy of mine has a yeildtrac planter for this spring and its pretty nice. Planter is very different from the normal
Thanks for the shop tour. You really planned ahead to have room for semi work in the winter. The 1206 bring back 1965 memories here in Rockhelle, IL. Snow and ice here today.
Really appreciate the tour of the shop/office Reese. I thought we were organized. Nice crane, we have one but added after the shop was built. Wish we would've built the shop around it. Oh well, hindsight is 20/20. Appreciate your hard work.👍👍
Another great video and shop tour y’all, that’s a really nice shop and equipment you have there, I like to see that shop in in person, it looks big on camera but I bet it looks humongous in person, thanks for the video
i really need a heated shop, but I only been farming 5 years and I have to use a parachute and heater to work on my equipment in the winter and when it gets down below -10 C It doesn't work very well so then i have to wait for it to warm up.
Same as we don’t have a barn of any type to work in but in our case we’re a 2 person farm that doesn’t have much land or equipment to make a building of much size a good buy for now.
Awesome shop. Enjoyed the tour. Once you go to red it’s hard to back to green...even though you’ll want to...you just can’t afford to! I learned that from experience.
Well planned an organized shop.. I like a clean shop ! Says a lot about a fella or company 👍.. do you haul far enough that you need semi trucks with sleeping quarters/big sleeper bunks ? Nice shop tour well done an explained 👍
Thanks and not really on the sleepers but the extra room is nice when your waiting in line for hours or when multiple guys are riding in from the field during harvest
I am from Georgia and didn’t know anyone this far north used the same words we use and talked with the country accent love your videos been watching for two days now do y’all have a merch shop yet
Depends on the year and soil type. Sometimes there’s no difference. The biggest difference I’ve seen is 50bu during a we year on gummy soil. Besides that it gives you more options with mixing other nutrients and the state of Illinois keeps putting out more hoops to jump through on storing the NH3 on the farm
You guys bought the 500 row track for side dressing and planting beans. But what 620 are you going to put on the bean planter? Also don’t you need the 620 to do tillage in front off the planters
I misspoke in the video. We traded in the 9620RX for it. We will have 3 620’s working ground in front of the planters. When we fill we have a good enough lead then we will do the switch leaving 2 still working ground. Plus we did 1600ac of strip-till last fall that we are planning on just planting into so that’ll help
What was the reason for trading in the John Deere’s for the Case IH’s because you can get higher horsepower John Deere’s just like you did with the Case IH’s
Yes, 345 horsepower was sometimes the limiting factor when trying to plant 12mph. Plus this one will have the 750 gallons of 28% and all the conceal knifes dragging through the ground
Never will get sick of the quality on this channel!!
