  • www.sailrite.co... 3M Super 77 Spray Adhesive does wonders for corner patch assemblies on sails. Just spray on both surfaces of material then assemble. The fast, aggressive tack bonds fabric firmly in place prior to sewing. Your corner patches will never move when sewing. This eliminates the chance for bubbles or uneven patches. It is also great for holding the Sunbrella when you are installing a roller furling sun cover. Also can be used for gluing fabric to wall surfaces and polyester batting to cushion foam.

    Can I use this product for doing stencil works on a fabric. I am worried if the stencil might stick permanently to the fabric ?

      We have not tested it for stencil work, sorry. Just do some testing on scrap fabric and see what the results are.

    Will this glue a uv strip (umbrella fabric, canvas) onto a Genoa? And be strong?

      Yes, this 3M Super 77 is what we use to apply a UV sun strip to a sailboat genoa. However, it will need to be sewn after securing it with the glue. It is not a great bond, but hold for sewing.

    Can I use Super 77 to upholster a foam chushion with fabric?

      The Super 77 can be used to bond Polyester Batting to your foam, but I would not use it to glue fabric to your foam.

    Would this work to put a waterproof patch over cracks on my pop up camper canvas?

    • @SailriteDIY
      @SailriteDIY  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, sorry. If the pop up camper is actually a canvas and not a vinyl product you can use 303 Fabric Guard to help it become water resistant again. Here is a link: www.sailrite.com/303-Fabric-Guard-16oz

    Does the 3M Super 77 Spray Adhesive set up, can I use just that to repair canvas...? My Tent Trailer has a couple spots to be repaired.

      +Tim D Stevens It may work, but I would only do a small test section first and let it sit for a few weeks to evaluate it.

      Thanks I did just that but I'm going to have to sew it up

    does this have any colour when dried? im trying to glue a clear section.

    • @SailriteDIY

      It has a yellowish color when it dries. If you are trying to attach 2 pieces of vinyl together we recommend HH-66: www.sailrite.com/HH-66-Vinyl-Cement-16oz

    Could this be used to stick canvas to my wooden camper trailer to waterproof it.

    • @SailriteDIY

      It may help with that task, I am not sure.

    3M said none of their adhesives were waterproof

    • @SailriteDIY
      @SailriteDIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ya, I would think they would not be waterproof. The glue is used to hold things down for sewing only.
