Go though a day with me in my pottery studio. We clean the studio, wipe down the tables, wedge some clay, cast and trim some cups and bowls, then handle some mugs. After work Ali and I go get tacos with our cat Pepper. I'm using my nice mic for audio recordings now so I hope you all notice the difference :) Take a deep breath and enjoy a peaceful pottery video

These narrated studio day videos are actually my favourite to watch from you. They are indeed very relaxing and soothing. Watching you go about your work has a bit of an ASMR vibe to it as you wipe benches and gently place your moulds onto the work table.
Paired with your narration, it's lovely. Your voice is easy to listen to. Not only are you knowledgeable about your craft which is really interesting, you're also very charming with your easygoing chuckles and friendly attitude.
The way you talk to us just makes it feel like you're my friend catching up with us, giving us updates about your work and life. Man, I would love a video about your life more generally too - please do make that video! :)

I’m glad you’re having a good day! I love watching your videos so much even if it’s in the middle of the day (this is why I have all notifications on) I’m so happy that you never gave up on this project (or at least rn, I’m in the middle of the video while writing lol) also you should definitely make a video about what we don’t know about you, I feel like it’d be super interesting to watch that! yayy i love this format. personally i always watch these while i'm waking up, i started watching this one before i got out ofbed today. they help me to slowly get used to being awake. if this format is easier for you i would do it more! watching people making pottery has something so special to it.
btw i love pepper's little handbag i don't know if my cats are too old for it now but i would definitely try giving them one to see if they would use it.

Pepper is such a cute cat! :) I'm glad you were able to have a more peaceful studio day as well. When things get chaotic in life, those calmer work days where you don't have to think too much are the best. I found you from shorts, this is first whole video I have seen. Watching you work reminds me of pottery class I took at community college. I spent so much time at the wheel and helping to dry out/wedge clay. You have a great setup. Wish you great success in all you do!

Regarding the plaster bits in your reclaim, I’ve heard it might happen when you’re letting it dry on plaster bats. Although I haven’t tried it yet, I’ve been told that putting a sheet or pillow case over the plaster will still allow the plaster to dry your clay, while creating a barrier to prevent any bits getting in your reclaim. Hope that helps!

I love your new studio! And I miss Chi-town so much... I'm from Indy originally, so Chicago was my go to weekend vacation destination.^^ After 15 years in Asia, i'd die for a nice morning in a coffeeshop and brunch with friends.^^ ha ha
I like the grins at the cat (because, animals😊) and when you had to lay down or something to pull that extruder. Haha
hands that do things and make beautiful tings are beautiful hands and the hazel eyes that become clearer as he looks at more and more beautiful things.

Hardwood floors + a ping pong ball + Pepper = playful predator pandemonium ...
... and difficulty sleeping if you forget to put it away at night.
Paper bags (especially red ones) that are large enough for Pepper to dive in and turn around make excellent soccer goals. Kitties love the crashing sound effects from the paper. If you turn the bag inside out so the red is on the inside ... surprisingly, kitties love a to take a long running skidding dive into deep bluish (not orangey) red. The Gap has them around Xmas.
