- Welcome to my studio, here is my tour of my cozy pottery studio. I have the studio mostly broken up into functional spaces, wheel throwing areas, work tables, wall storage, sink, kiln, and finally my desk. I spend a ton of time in my studio so I try my best to make it functional and aesthetic. The studio is primally where I make my ceramic objects via doing pottery on the wheel, slip casting, or hand-building. #pottery #ceramics #studio

I love art. I love ceramics. I started drawing since a little kid. My first drawing of animals is still on my grandmothers refrigerator. Always loved art class in school. But I’ve stopped for years now. I need to get back into it all.

The sink set up without plumbing is a game changer for me! Great idea to use the ikea camping style sink. Pottery studio tours are really helpful.

Hey! I am a percussionist and it would be dope to see you try to make an Udu! It’s an African Instrument, that’s just a pot with a long taper and two holes! It sounds pretty cool! You okay it with your fingers and the palm of your hand.

So inspiring…Id like to become a professional sculptor and ceramist. Whenever I work with clay I feel so in touch with my feelings, I feel like i’m living in the moment for once and when I’m angry It soothes it all away.

Lighting is the most important thing!! That’s the reason I took the apartment I’m in at the moment. And I don’t think I’ve ever turned on the room lights. Just warm lamps

Woahh wait, so I used an accessible wheel because I can't use my feets. So there's just a foot pedal I push with my hand to make the wheel spin. This little knob is a really cool alternative, I'll have to see if I can try one of these somewhere!!

Made them! I Just cast the plaster in a shallow bin!

your studio is so cozy and clean, I love it! I just started with pottery and am a bit scared off by the health hazards for doing it at home, how do you deal with dust and are you ever worried about it, either here or when you had your turntable at home?
Not at all! Keeping a super clean studio is a great way to ensure its a safe space! Don't let it get dirty and dusty!
By the way make a video preparing a bowl and listening to the song calm down 💃💃☺️☺️ It gives the positive the energy to do anything 💃💃💕

How did you first start throwing clay?
I am still not used to the word throwing as a clay associated activity, waiting for a video where someone takes it out on a wall.
The place looks very serene, must be a delight walking through that door, I wonder what it smells like.
What sandals are those? They look well designed for how feet are positioned when using them
I started when i was in high school but got back into it later in life. I have been throwing regularly for the past few years now. And yeah its a funny use of the word “throwing”. And the sandals are just very comfy, they are crocs :)
