They're really nice to have, I recommend saving for a version with some sort of advanced navigation like lidar. Roborock, eufy & wyze all make affordable options
I haven't used that one personally but its got the right features at a great price from a reputable brand. There should be some good deals coming up soon on robot vacuums for black friday
We actually have solar on our roof, but between two EVs and a hot tub they do take quite a bit of power, everything else is actually very energy efficient. We monitor our usage in our sense energy meter.

Nice smart home? NOT. Energy regulated by energy companies. Turn off your heat or ac due to energy consumption. Or because your hair is brown. Just because. Don’t believe me just ask the people in Colorado where their ac was set for them on the hottest days. So they couldn’t have ac. No no thank you I’ll take a dumb home over a smart house any day of the week.
While it's true if you got your smart thermostat through energy company and took the rebate they could make adjustments but that's an opt in program. I can assure you that our utility company has not and cannot adjust our thermostat. We actually keep it right at 72 during the day when we're home but let it fluctuate overnight and when were away. It's saved us quite a bit of money because it's happening automatically without needing to stick to a set schedule. We can also control it from the app on our phone any where in the world with an internet connection and through our voice assistants which we like.
