  • Today we explore one of the oldest continuously operating classic car junkyards in Texas. Little Valley has been a go-to source for car parts since the 1970's. We look at the parts cars in the junkyard along with project cars that they have for sale at the front of the yard.

      Lots of people. If they need it or want one, they better pay the price.

    Cool video...i spotted quite a few classic Chevy vans including one that appeared to be an early-mid 70's model that I'm def interested in so I'll give them a ring for sure...

    • @downsouthjunking8180
      @downsouthjunking8180  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! We're glad you enjoyed the video. We get quite a few comments about the old vans. We will make sure to focus on them a little more in the future. We haven't done that a lot up to now because we weren't sure how much interest there was in them.

    • @CaptainHowdy1969

      @@downsouthjunking8180 there's a lot of interest in old classic vans of all makes but the Chevys in particular are highly popular due to the fact that produced the same van from 1970 until 1996 which makes em' very popular project vehicles and because of the fact Chevys are completely interchangable there the best deal mechanically speaking as the drive-train out of an LS powered 2000+ Chevy truck is a direct swap into an old classic Chevy van...
      I also love the old suburbans like yourself most especially the squarebody Burbans produced from 1973-1991 & just like the vans I mentioned above there all interchangeable with newer model Chevy trucks which makes em' excellent project vehicles and they have the same amount of cargo space as a Chevy van does but you can find a 4wd suburban whereas you won't be able to find many 4wd vans if any of em at all...

    • @downsouthjunking8180
      @downsouthjunking8180  ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually remember reading an article about how the last of the pre-LS chevy v8 was finally going out of production. The last vehicle it was going in was a chevy van. It's pretty cool that you can have a van from such different generations with the same engine. Definitely makes life easier when you need parts.

    • @CaptainHowdy1969

      @@downsouthjunking8180 I think the older vans were available with a 327 as well as the 350 unless you bought a straight 6 which is what they had in em' until the 4.3 started being offered in the vans
      But really it doesn't matter when it comes to Chevys as they're super easy to do an engine swap on

      Sorry. We take a bunch of pictures and use the best one for the thumbnail. Unfortunately, this time we picked a car that wasn't filmed. We will try to make sure that doesn't happen going forward.
