Hi, Thanks for the tips, I had to use a walker after being critically ill with severe hypothyroidism. I find it hard to walk without the walker for any distance. I am trying the exercises and they help. Reducing time on PC also helps. But I cant walk far without the walker, I am aiming at removing the walker. I was just given all clear that the problem was not repiratory or lungs. The specialist thinks it is more the walker and that I need a few food exercises. Guess I could start with a few house block and work up from there. I have downhill to my east and uphill to my west and level to my south. Any more tips would be appreciated.
I got very sick two years ago and lost an incredible amount of muscle. When I began walking to recover I realized I had that awful hunched posture. I had sticky notes all over the house at eye level reminding myeself to stand up straight😳. This video would have helped greatly to get back to where I am now and these exercises will really help to maintain my focus on healthy posture. Thanks for all of your content!
Im 49 and lost 8" if height in the last year! Im totally hunched over and my Dr finally ordered an mri I get the results tomorrow! Im scared. I know its not caused by bad posture. I'm miserable and desperate to stand straight again. Thank you for this video! Im gonna attempt to do these a couple times a day!
Hello, Dr. Saunders! I would like to ask if you could create a video on how to sit comfortably and with better posture (especially for a long time - like in work/school). I find it hard, irritating, and uncomfortable sometimes 🥹
Thank you for the exercises you showed in this video. I need to learn to walk properly because using a cane or leaning on a roller makes me look a lot older.
This was very helpful, thank you! Was wondering if a chiropractor could help straighten out the spine in addition to these strategies? Or is this curving spine condition muscles and tendons only?
I've been walking up hills hunched over more and more over the years. When I try to stand up straight it feels like I'm almost leaning backwards and it's even harder to breathe when I do. In my tens and early 20's I would look at the ground all the time so I believe that when the upper vertebra fuse in your twenties (unless that's a myth) it did so hunched a bit. Now I'm 50 and it's getting worse I'm terrified I'll end up bent over double as I get to 60 and 70. Honestly I'm surprised I'm still alive
Can you recommend a substitution for the exercise involving the balance ball? I like the simplicity of this routine and can already feel the difference. Thank you!
Hello, I frequently experience forward head posture, and I often feel pressure beneath my skull when I walk. Is this normal, and what steps should I take to address it?
I can’t lift my head off the floor at all when I’m on my stomach on the floor. What is a modification exercise that will help me be able to do that exercise in the future. I can do the other exercises in the video albeit not exactly as demonstrated.
A good alternative is to do the cobra move instead if you are unable to lift head...it is more of a stretch than an exercise when you do that. Best wishes.
Not at all - you can certainly modify and lie on a bed for example, or do the ones you are able and then apply the tips at the end. I know you will still find it effective. Thanks for watching! :)
After kneading the dough, the pain comes from the hands to the neck and there is a lump in the neck and then there is dizziness. Which exercises I should do?
I followed everything you've said but when I walk I look like a robot, how do I find the balance between too stiff and relaxed to look natural or is it something that you'll get used to the more you walk stiff?
Hi Dr Saunders, i just love all your videos on posture. I have called your office a few times but your phone is connected to a fax machine?? I would like to make an appointment .(you are still in Newmarket Ontario)

Great suggestion!
Great Video! Do I need to do these exercises everyday? If yes how often should I do them?
Yes, daily is best!
Thank you for the exercises you showed in this video. I need to learn to walk properly because using a cane or leaning on a roller makes me look a lot older.

Très intéressante , possible traduite en Français ? Ce servait parfait. Merci
Merci!
This was very helpful, thank you! Was wondering if a chiropractor could help straighten out the spine in addition to these strategies? Or is this curving spine condition muscles and tendons only?
Yes, chiropractic in addition will be the most effective and efficient way of helping this. All the best.
@@drjonsaunders Thank you for your input!

You can do it standing like I demonstrate in the video...thanks for watching!
Hi Dr, thanks for sharing..sorry, is it suitable for children like 4 years old and above..
That may be a bit young, as they may not have the concentration to perform. Good question.
Do you have some exercises to reduce the knee pain?
No, but will add it to my list to do!
Thanks. Waiting anxiously. Kindly release it soon.

Good day, thank you for your advice. I am asking for subtitles in the Czech language. Thank you
I will try my best to see if they can be added.

Curious what your thoughts were on Rucking, in terms of the spine?
It can help develop muscles, however I wouldn't recommend it all the time. Just like weight training, one needs recovery days. :)
Sometimes when I walk downhill or even small incline i tend to lean and walk faster shorter steps almost as if i will fall…
Thanks for watching, I hope you find my videos helpful!
I think this vid assumes that you can actually do these exercises like laying on the floor on your stomach and lifting your head up...
I would first start with getting an appropriate diagnosis from your doctor. Best wishes.
@@drjonsaunders sir please suggest some exercise. I request you

Yes it will take some time for you to improve, just keep at. :)

My left quad is so tight that I can't straighten up and activate the left glute. Do you have flexibility exercises to loosen up the quad?
