I really hope some internal reflection is done on the decision to not allow players to concede during this final. There is nothing in the TP V2.1(the most recent afaik) against conceding, no exceptions to streamed content. Not allowing Dinh-Kha to concede G1 is a form of competition distortion going against their own TP. This is not something that should happen. I get that they want a good final (read, long final full of content), but this is not the way. Something along the lines of: Conceding in a streamed match is only allowed if conceding does not end the match immediatly. Especially in the finals no one would concede a G3, or even a G2 if they're behind so you'd still have as much content as you'd get. Or maybe adjust time rules in T4 or something. I know some people build decks around it or have side deck slots dedicated to this, but I am of the opinion that that is something that should not be in the game either. It's a necesary evil, but when you're really far in a tournament, consider adjusting time rules slightly. Thank you for listening to my TED Talk.
can you just summon monsters and swing into stuff to kill yourself? or do a bunch of misplays to give your opponent game? or do u have to be sneaky about it?
Did u also give joshua a warning for cheating? He made unicorn the same turn he activated gigantic spright so he was locked in link 2. Or should i tell stephan so he can app u that u missed something😂
I'm new to YGO, but the time format makes absolutely no sense to me. There's one timer for both players?? What prevents the player that won game 1 to just stall games?
Congrats to both players, but you ever look at cards like Mystic Mine swirling in the meta and a Runic mirror in finals, and think maybe Yu-Gi-Oh was a mistake?
Mystic Mine wasn't played to much success anymore. As all good cards, it's on a rotation of viability simply based on how much people are expecting it.
Mine not a thing anymore, at least this format. Eradicstor, spell canceller, whole runick engine that can keep recycling backrow removal, smasher etc. Lot ppl also start main / siding more backrow removal to prepare mine. Evenly, cosmic, and HFD become really popular now. Thus mine not that good anymore, no need ban tbh.
do you have to know every single yugioh card to be able to play competetive? Because i think my deck has decent chances, but i would need to read almost every single card my opponent plays...
You need to understand what most meta decks and cards do to a extend, if you keep pausing the game to read effects it could lead to a warning for stalling/slow play
disgusting end.. seriously i believe its extremely pathetic to have time limit at top 16 but its well known that none cares about players and the game is slowly dying ...
We're definitely not breaking attendance records over and over. Getting rid of the clock altogether for top cut is undoable. MAYBE for the finals, but even then that could move the tournament end time from 8 PM to 10 PM. Long ago, finals were occasionally 60 minutes, if they announced it beforehand. I guess that's something people could look at.
We play red resonator because it’s a tuner Bois

It's in the event FAQ.
I personally think it has something to do with the Japanese side of the game. They have very strict rules on conceding.

Sir this is a Wendy's
Dinh beeing forced to play out G1 is a tragedy. Very bad decision by Konami.
This time limit thing is really a problem here
Not letting DInh-Kha surrending is the problem...
Not fair that Dinh Ka B. was not allowed to scoop Game 1
Wait I missed it, what time stamp
When
@@KixMusaid Kha bui told in his Profile that he wasn't allowed to scoop game 1 so he was bound to lose anyway in time which is utterly bullshit
yeah, came here to say the exact same thing. This is match fixing. Not saying he would have won, but his chances would have been better.
Dinh goes to my locals haha. Really cool to see him at finals

Does he win every local?

Two of my favourite players in the finals. What a beautiful game! 🔥😩👌
Did Joshua put Dinh-Kha's sprite blue in his gy?
Yeah, we had to untangle their decks a bit after the award ceremony.

Germany
I believe around the Berlin area? Not sure on that tho.
Ye from Berlin, always plays locals there… and always wins XD. Incredibly nice dude
He also made the ee virus incident, I think (against Tom K)
Let's gooooo Joshua!
I wonder how easy it is for them to accidentally mix there cards because they are playing a mirror match with the same white cards-skin
