Yo Bro... Came across your channel a few days ago because I bought the MK3 machine. I'm actually a FLStudio user and was a bit overwhelmed at first when it came to operating the MK3 machine. Your videos helped me a lot and I have to say, Much respect. You are a cool guy, not only the quality of your videos is great, but also the content is great. Good luck on your further path. You deserve more attention. Keep it up ;).. Greetings from Germany
Thanks for such an unpretentious and clear presentation that was very easy to follow despite being comprehensive and thorough. Most of the best teachers out there miss some of the critical points needed for beginners - but you make me feel like you are right there in the room with me having an enjoyable conversation. Your respectful attitude is a unique virtue - and the pace of your speaking voice despite being fast and with tremendous expositional structure (showing very high intelligence) - your entusiasm, sincerity, and charisma - make you great company and much appreciated for anyone dealing with the challenge of the MASCHINE learning experience. GREAT JOB - but you must know that you are "top shelf" because the ratio of the number of your subscribers to the age of the video - well - I feel sorry for all your competitors. Just keep doing what you are doing. Fantastic!

Love your vids fam. I have one thing to say though. Im a Mac user so it might be different. While I totally agree on installing all content onto the external ssd I have always heard and thought that you install the players and vsts into the main computer. Cause if not your putting more strain cause your computer is using the ssd to get the players be it kontact or maschine and having to pull the plugin off the ssd then having to pull the samples and patches and presets off the ssd. I always thought it would make your computer work harder and use more ram. Cause it would have to put the player the vst and the samples on ram to use it. I dont know if I just made any sense. But mac won't even let u install vst or the players on an external. You have to install them on the main drive. And you can install all sample content and presets on an external drive. But like I said I could be wrong.
Hey thank you for commenting!🙏🏾 That is a great question. I have always installed all my NI content on an SDD Hard drive. It wont use more ram or resources. The data is loaded into ram when you use it, doesnt matter where you stored it. It might be slower to fetch the initial data if its a ssd via usb or a slower hard drive. But thats it. It runs the same in the program.

PeaceLove&GodBless Have a Great Weekend ("
Hey thank you so much for commenting!!!🙏🏾 You will be fine, I just prefer to have all of my Native instruments stuff on a separate hard drive for space purposes. Everything will still function normal if you install it on you Computer Hard Drive. It’s just a matter of preference. If you want everything on an external I would uninstall all NI stuff and just start over fresh and map everything to that external so you don’t have NI installed in separate folders. Again thank you for commenting and I hope this helps!!
When you were looking through FX, your third-party Arturia tape effect showed up. But what about other third party instruments? I was just browsing through my Machine software (I don't have the hardware unit yet), and when I searched in Kits and in Drums, none of the third-party stuff I have shows up. Logic is my DAW, and I'm creating a track with Maschine. I could easily load my other VIs in their own tracks in Logic, but I was thinking loading them inside of Maschine first would quickly let me get loops up and running to start creating new ideas. I'm 100% new to Maschine, so apologies for the super basic questions.
If you scanned them with the maschine or komplete kontrol they should show up if they have nks support. Maybe trying doing a plugin scan in the software.
I don’t own a mk2 but NI is really good about keeping their hardware up to date with the software. I would like to say I think it should work just fine no matter what hardware you have from NI. Thanks for commenting🙏🏾🙏🏾

Hey maybe you could clarify something for me. So on the SD card there's the user folder. But some of the tutorials Ive watched give advice to place some files in the sd Maschine folder. (The manual also states this) How should I think about transferring over files to the SD card when it comes to the user folder and the Maschine SD folder? Thx!
@@creativedwill Sorry - Maschine+ 😁 When I save sounds, they go in the Maschine folder but show up ad "user" in browser - what other types of usr files are best to transfer to the Maschine folder onto the SD Maschine+ and what is best to file in the user folder. @gary Smith, Ok gotcha. Do you mean like Native Instruments 🎹 or Third party Plugins? Also here is a video I created with Chopping samples. The Easiest Way To Chop Samples in Maschine || Native Instruments th-cam.com/video/RK95RhJLS3U/w-d-xo.html Also if you have IG hit me up on there and I can do a video call to walk you through it @creativedwill
Ok gotch, the only work around in maschine is to stretch the audio to with the audio engine and resample it back into Maschine. It’s something I think they need to improve on. I wish they had that feature but that’s the only workout I know of.
What u should knw about maschine 2 is.....it doesn't quite make the cut for a real daw. Don't let the flashy controller fool you, arranger view is hot fuckin garbage, you should really consider ableton, bitwig, fl.....something you won't grow out of in a year and a half
Hey thank you so much for commenting!!🙏🏾 Yea NI has it listed as a Groove box on their Website. I personally use Maschine 2 to create my entire beat and then bring it into Cubase 12 Pro for more detailed stuff like. For me Maschine 2 is a great for creative inspiration and getting ideas out quickly. Again thank you for commenting!🙏🏾😊
That’s depends, are you trying to Produce beats or record vocals and tracks? Certain software/ DAW excel in certain areas and I would pick one depending on my ultimate goals.

thanks for your video tutorial good stuff.... i made a mistake i got new laptop went to work and started setting up without external drives so everything is being loaded on the pc. will it be possible to reverse this or will i be ok like this and from this point I'll make future packs go to the externals.
Will this work the same way for a mk2 version not the mikro version?
I don’t own a mk2 but NI is really good about keeping their hardware up to date with the software. I would like to say I think it should work just fine no matter what hardware you have from NI. Thanks for commenting🙏🏾🙏🏾
How do you get more expansions?
You can go to Native instruments website and order them.
I got a question does these steps also go for refurbished Machine products
Hey thanks for commenting! 🙏🏾 Which steps are you referring to?
@@creativedwill I have recently bought a refurbished maschine Studio it was in my price range so I pulled the trigger on it I just want to know I know you're using the newest machine but any of these steps usable with older Hardware
@@biggiefan4life860 You should be able to accomplish everything using the studio. The only main difference is the layout might be a bit different in regards to button pressing. The studio is a really good peace of hardware and I actually had the studio for a long time, before getting the plus. The only thing it really lacks is the Touch strip and PerformX features.
@@creativedwill if you needed your machine product fixed in any way shape or form who would you recommend
@@biggiefan4life860 I am not sure. You might want to reach out to NI support and see if they office a service.
What do you do when there's no Midi tab in preferences?
There definitely should be a midi tab in preferences. You might want to try to reinstall the maschine software
Where did you download the maschine software from?
From Native Access
Hey maybe you could clarify something for me. So on the SD card there's the user folder. But some of the tutorials Ive watched give advice to place some files in the sd Maschine folder. (The manual also states this) How should I think about transferring over files to the SD card when it comes to the user folder and the Maschine SD folder? Thx!
Hey thank you for commenting🙏🏾 I am a little lost as to what you are asking? Are you using a Maschine Plus or Maschine MK3?
@@creativedwill Sorry - Maschine+ 😁 When I save sounds, they go in the Maschine folder but show up ad "user" in browser - what other types of usr files are best to transfer to the Maschine folder onto the SD Maschine+ and what is best to file in the user folder. Any other file advice would be helpful - I find this the most confusing of anything in Maschine+!
hi which external ssd do you use?
Hey thank you for commenting! 🙏🏾 i currently use this one: SanDisk 2TB Extreme Portable SSD - Up to 1050MB/s, USB-C, USB 3.2 Gen 2, IP65 Water and Dust Resistance, Updated Firmware - External Solid State Drive - SDSSDE61-2T00-G25 a.co/d/hsGTPlY
how did you get your machine+ to work with Machine software?
Hey thank you for commenting!🙏🏾 The Maschine Plus is just like the Mk3. All you have to do is plug it into the computer and open the software and it will recognize that the Maschine Plus is connected. You will be able to use it as a controller
@@creativedwill thank you for the response, i did have the usb setup on the computer but found out if you have the power cord connected as well the computer would not access the machine + once i disconnected the power everything fired up correctly. :) thank you again for responding you have great videos :)
Gotcha😁 Yea I experienced the same thing. I wish they would fix that lol
hello! how do you navigate the different pages in step mode on the controller? I can't figure it out!
Hey thank you for commenting! That is a great question lol! I have sat down and tired to navigate the pages. I typically just checked the Follow button and it scrolls. I will mess around with it today when I’m in the studio and see if I can’t figure it out😁 thanks for commenting!!!
@@creativedwill what up ! So it ended up being knob 6, let’s you navigate the pages on the step sequencer ! 😊😊

What ssd do you use please? )
Hey thank you for commenting! I have all of my NI stuff installed on this internal SSD:
SanDisk Ultra 3D NAND 2TB Internal SSD - SATA III 6 Gb/s, 2.5"/7mm, Up to 560 MB/s - SDSSDH3-2T00-G25 a.co/d/6minyRA
@@creativedwill great thank you! If you had to recommend an external ssd with similar storage and speed what you recommend if possible? Brillant tutorial btw- you know how to teach!!! Thank you )
Thank you I really appreciate it!🙏🏾 I have always been a fan of Sandisk so any hard drives or SD cards I purchase is typically Sandisk. For a external portable solution I would go with the:
SanDisk 2TB Extreme Portable SSD - Up to 1050MB/s - USB-C, USB 3.2 Gen 2 - External Solid State Drive - SDSSDE61-2T00-G25 a.co/d/gbKDQm5
Another option outside of Sandisk that I have purchased is Samsung hard drives in the past as well:
SAMSUNG T7 2TB, Portable SSD, up to 1050MB/s, USB 3.2 Gen2, Gaming, Students, & Professionals, External Solid State Drive (MU-PC2T0T/AM), Gray a.co/d/fFHSnbF

somebody gotta take the "deet deet deet" sample at 6:09 and make it their metronome sample lol

I have the Mikro and I am struggling
Hey thank you commenting? Once you get the hang of it you will love it 😊 Do you have Any specific questions? Maybe I could answer them for you?
@@creativedwill chopping up samples and pulling up instruments
@gary Smith, Ok gotcha. Do you mean like Native Instruments 🎹 or Third party Plugins? Also here is a video I created with Chopping samples. The Easiest Way To Chop Samples in Maschine || Native Instruments
th-cam.com/video/RK95RhJLS3U/w-d-xo.html
Also if you have IG hit me up on there and I can do a video call to walk you through it @creativedwill
@@creativedwill yes In native. I saw your video I will try out what you showed. I also use MPC they let chop by bpm any work around in Maschine
Ok gotch, the only work around in maschine is to stretch the audio to with the audio engine and resample it back into Maschine. It’s something I think they need to improve on. I wish they had that feature but that’s the only workout I know of.
time stamps???
Thank you for commenting, I’ll work on adding them
Im sorry dis muchine is wack waste of time a sampler will break your computer and frezz up your programs
lol what are you talking about?
Not a bad tutorial, but please, stop moving your mouse so nervously, it's about to go crazy. You can't see which keys you're using.
Amazing
Thank you 🙏🏾
Can I make music just with this software or do I need Ableton’s?
You can definitely make music with this software/ Beats but if your looking for a full fledged DAW then Abelton is the Way to Go.
@@creativedwill that’s the thing that’s stopping me from getting the maschine mk3. Do you have a good alternative?
That’s depends, are you trying to Produce beats or record vocals and tracks? Certain software/ DAW excel in certain areas and I would pick one depending on my ultimate goals.
@@creativedwill ok so I’m into edm, beatmaking and scoring films. What is your suggestion based on that?
@@hjkhhjkh3635 I would go with Abelton for the scoring and arrangement aspect.
