Yeah, not 100 percent fully yet. I still mix in Cubase for clients projects, but I’m slowly switching over to Ableton.

lol 😂 I got the push 3 and Ableton live for work and had to learn it. Once I started I really enjoyed the workflow. Cubase is perfect for mixing and I miss a lot of features, but I just enjoy chopping samples and all the Max for live devices in Ableton. Also having a dedicated controller is everything for my workflow. I haven’t abandoned Cubase Completely yet lol😁😁😁😂

Yeah, this update is on another level. I think the only NI can do is to make the Maschine software/ hardware play well with every DAW. I switched to the Push 3 and I love being able I finish everything fully in on software.

@@creativedwill for sure man. Just being able to do simple things like fading in/out a track and easy automation made me happy. I still miss those maschine pads though and the onboard arpeggiator!

@@creativedwill You know what, I just thought about it… Remember the MPC also has the ability to use USB Audio Interfaces. This is about to get nutty. It will truly be an ability to stay off the Computer. As long as that new UI is stable it will be a monster. Also the Hard Disk streaming will free up RAM so they have no excuse it should be stable.

I don’t think any Standalone hardware will ever be as good as a DAW, but I like it as a sketch pad and to have the ability to somewhat arrange is something I think I would rock with. I’d disagree only on the point that I believe the MV-8800 recorded and streamed audio from RAM. That has been the crippling aspect of all attempts at DAWS in boxes. If I just heard Andy Mac correctly, this new update allows us to record and playback straight from our hard drives like a computer (FINALLY). That will make this truly the first DAW in at least a small box. The Korg Nautilus and Kronos have had hard disk streaming for a while now.

@@hnationmusic3099 disk streaming does not determine weather something is or is not a DAW. It’s just a feature that allows you to get the most out of the computer you are using. I would agree that the Roland MV-8000/8800 were the first standalone DAW’s on the market. Way ahead of its time.

@@godscience7821 it was very very simple, actually. It was basically copy and pasting sample sound into linear time line. You didn’t even have to drum the beat-in.

We do have a lot of dope features in the Maschine. I know the are dropping this year, it will be very interesting to see what they got up their sleeve😁

@@creativedwill you’re right what I want to see is them have a better sampler with a warp feature when you stretch a sample after its chopped not only that stem separation that needs to have it on there too because that’s the new wave as of right now

I would agree! The Warp feature is lack in the maschine and could definitely use and update.

No need for native instruments no more Akai is coming out with amazing stuff

I have both. You’re right. The cool thing is, if/when they come out with the software version, the force may possibly be able to finally have a daw it can sync to. This way it’s not so alienated. Cause currently, it definitely is the black sheep. I have always recognized it was superior to the mpc. But for some reason I usually tend to grab my live 2 over the force. Maybe it’s the bigger pads or the battery and speakers. Dunno. But the future is looking bright for mpc heads!!

I'm actually new to the FORCE but as I started digging in, I thought "These are all the features MPC users have been asking for" I couldn't understand why it felt like Akai had abandoned it. But, Akai answered one of my posts today with "Force users, we really appreciate your patience for updates. Please stay tuned!!!" So, I'm hopeful

Definitely understand your frustration! They definitely will be releasing a new Maschine this year, I just hope they integrate some of the features that users really want. Akai has really set the bar high on this one!

I 💯 agree! I have always been faster on the Maschine because of the workflow. The MPC looks like they eliminated all the menu diving to get to main features. The Main screen seems to do everything I need it to do in one simple touch. This is going to be very interesting

Agreed and it’s nice to not be on a computer, the machine killed my DAW!

If you have the Audio interface outputs going into the Maschine inputs and the set the maschine audio interface as your sound card source inside the software it should work just fine.

@@producedbymirakle hey thank you so much!🙏🏾 I believe only certain parameters like pitch shift and performance EFX can utilize the touch strip to program automation. Thats a really good question though m, I’ve never really tried any other functions outside of those two.

@@creativedwill Yeah I still love automation, but for instance filter cutoff with arturia’s minifilter would be handier to me with the touch strip, but never got it done. I still do automation with my knobs or keyboard sliders, but I was just wondering. Thanks anyway man!

@@creativedwill I've also found that as a plug-in it has 8 stereo ins and outs so you can route anything to an input on your daw but still control with Maschine VST, you just need to route each group or single instrument to the ext outs in Maschine. I used this with ableton and Harrison mixbus with great results, I think Cubase will work too

@@funma2353 hey thanks for commenting!🙏🏾 No you don’t need maschine to use the Velvet bloom expansion. You can access the samples Via Battery or just drag and drop them into your DAW from the sample folder. Yes, Bouquet uses Kontakt 7. Let me know how you like the sounds🙂
