Louis! Hey! Got a question for you. If liberation is through the mind, what obligation or duty do we have to help others? While suffering just a filter of the mind, is it not better to help liberate the physical needs of the poor, hungry, abused, forgotten? Like Jesus came to deliver good news but did that through healing the sick, comforting the destitute, breaking bread with those exiled. Does this not give us cause to be intimately involved in the physical liberation of the people we love? I cannot help but feel it is an ivory tower to simply sit in our own mental constructions/ deconstructions Lemme know
@@ZambiaByrnes Hello! I feel that real liberation comes through our character and conduct. If we align with what we truly prefer and wish to be, we will always be dutiful and loving towards others. If we focus on what we cannot govern, here we find all of our troubles. We come to want what we cannot have and get what we do not want in reality. Therefore, I feel that if we accept ourselves completely and align with whatever occurs in life, we will be in the position to help and liberate others. Jesus gave his life for others and is an example of someone that was fully liberated, such enlightened souls are very seldom. There is nothing stopping us from striving to be like Jesus, for we too are the dear sons and daughters of God or the universe. Paradoxically, the best way we can love one another is to focus not on circumstance, physical reality or the outside world, but to wield this vast love within us and to do so we must look within. Sitting in our own mental sphere has the most remarkable benefits, just as Socrates mentions that the unexamined life is not worth living. To liberate others we must liberate ourselves first. Once we start to see how freeing and loving the great Spirit we all share is, we shall want to share it unto everyone we possibly can. The root of disturbances and hardships found in physicality stem from our irrational belief systems that neglect the interconnectedness of all things and communicate incessantly that we are not in communion with the divine and that we are actually separate from it. Everything comes from the same source. I hope this helps, let me know if there is anything else ❤️❤️❤️ One love
One love! “We shouldn’t be so fixated on circumstances”, I’ll be holding that with me. Thank you for these words. 💭
