Had the privilege of using my friends Quest 2 for about 2 months while he was in school, it was one of the craziest experiences I've ever had, I just picked up a used one yesterday and is my very first time owning it!

I’ve watched many tips vids for the quest 2. I usually click on videos that had a lot of views. this one didn’t have as many but it had more tips so I clicked on it and surprisingly it’s the best and most simply explained video. Straight to the point with no dragged out intro! Good job

I purchased my Oculus about a week ago, and whilst I have learned many things by messing around, your video taught me a lot of useful tricks that I will take advantage of (I must confess I wish I had of found your video on the first day! Would've saved me a lot of time - hah :) )
1:50 if your IPD doesn't fit one of the three settings it is possible to get the lenses between two of the settings, I've been using mine between 2 and 3 for the best clarity and I haven't noticed any issues so far

Doesn’t it say that in the setup that you can change your ipd
If your IPD is larger than the maximum setting, you can shove something between the lenses to push them apart further (e.g. a small rectangle of cardboard). I was having severe issues god rays, blurriness and-out of-focus-ness until I did this, which pretty much eliminated them.
The Quest 2 is able to differentiate between IPDs outside of the 1/2/3 options because of good hardware/software design, so it compensates for these other configurations without issues.
@@NicheAsQuiche I am having same issue which was hard for me to describe. Not necessarily blurry as I can still read all the words but yeah almost like a glare.. or yes god rays haha. You stuck it between 2 and 3? Did you use that cardboard trick
@@tylerrcasement I pushed them apart so they were further apart than setting 3, by putting a piece of cardboard between the middle of them, that might help you. Just be sure to be gentle

the casting feature is a great option i had no idea i could do! last night my wife was using the VR and we had to keep swapping it so i can show her how to navigate and it was less than optimal

I’ve had my quest 2 since September and really just started playing. I have a few games but for now Death Horizon is my fav. I can’t wait to try to hand tracking option for this game. I think it’s gonna help alooooot.
I took a bad fall thinking that the Table Tennis table was actually there to lean on !! You can get so immersed in the experience.

Late response but a helpful tip adding onto his tip for adjusting view and strapping on the headset for usage
Use 2-3 small horizontal lines Infront of you within any headset to help adjust the viewpoint, having it placed in the center of your vision for each eye is the best option to ensure whatever you are doing is clear, on the quest 2 you might even see the screen door effect if you focus long enough

@@EatSleep360 very minor Tip but if you time stamp every tip in the description section it makes rewatching very easy (to find a specific tip) and adds Massive replay value for the viewer.

Hi Rich, not much in this video for me as I've had the Quest 2 since it came out but a great guide for new users. I wonder if you've had a chance to look at any of the photo viewing apps or video players and wonder what you feel shows off your 360 photos & videos to the best effect.
This is something I need to look more into - I will be exploring ways of using it with 3D vista as well for virtual tours. Thanks for watching

I'm getting my very first VR headset the Oculus Quest 2 and these tips were very helpful. Definetly cleaning those lenses with a microfiber towel and getting a better headstrap because I heard the standard strap is terrible I don't want headaches
I haven’t had a problem with the head strap but probably depends on how long you use it - I’d love to try out an alternative head strap to see if it’s any better

Aw man I'm saving for it and I only 25 quid away! I'm pretty excited
If you are getting the cheaper option you should probably go the extra bit and get the model with more storage as 64gb can fill up really fast if you are a hardcore vr gamer
@@dylanbeattie7973 definitely don't do this. Way over priced. Use Virtual Desktop to play VR games wirelessly from your PC or use Oculus Link.

@@grqfes The only one I know of that comes with one is the Index. When I got a Quest 2 it didn't come with one.
PSVR came with one
Another tip: if you tie the wrist straps to the controller ring, you’ll have a hands free strap like on the index

Can't figure how to do this, or what 'hands free strap' means, or how a 'hands free strap' would be beneficial.
The strap just is security to keep the controller from falling.
How would you even tie it to the ring? Mine doesn't seem long enough.
