    This was my first game of the series, and I absolutely love it! Thank you for this! You shorted yourself $8, when you collected the port tile, I hate when I do that lol.

      Thanks for the heads up that I missed the $8. Love this game too!

    Wow the table space is huge! I’m going to need to go side by side with the boards at two. Thanks for the preview!

      It is my pleasure. That’s my whole focus. 98% of the plays I have in the past 3 years have been solo. Glad to help other like minded folks!

    This version of GWT appeals to me much more than Argentina ever did. Thanks for the video, John!

      True! I only recommend the entire series for completionists. I would get NZ and the 2nd edition with its expansion and call it a day.

    Great helpful video. I'll put this version on my wish list.

    Although you gave your ranking for all 3 games, I didn't notice you talking about which ones someone should purchase first. In your Argentina video, I remember you saying that Argentina and the original 2nd edition plus expansion were equal, and you could take your pick between those two.
    I would say that GWT 2nd edition + expansion is a necessary purchase before New Zealand so that you get used to the base mechanics before getting to all that complexity of NZ. I would only recommend NZ as a first buy to seasoned Euro/Pfister players.

      If you were going to purchase them all, I would say do it in order. If you only want to get one, I would get New Zealand. However, they are all really enjoyable!

    Yeah I like the differences and could use more choices in my plays. I could see what your referring to in your sample of play. Think I'm going to sell my GWT SE and get New Zealand. There's definitely enough new content for an upgrade. Have a great day! Thanks John!

    • @JohnLaRuffa
      @JohnLaRuffa  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think that is a strong move, especially if you don’t have the expansion for it.

      @@JohnLaRuffa I like challenges and it's not like the game is at the Mage Knight level of difficulty. Correct me if I'm wrong on that assumption. I also feel after playing GWT for more than a year it's time for an upgrade. By the way looking professional with the suit and tie look (avatar).

    Hello, nice video! quick question, does your sleeved carts fit on the default insert? Thanks!

    • @JohnLaRuffa
      @JohnLaRuffa  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sadly no and I use the thin sleeves too.

    Why do people keep saying pounds? NZ uses Dollars.

    • @JohnLaRuffa
      @JohnLaRuffa  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I agree, but the rules say pounds for some reason.
