Hi Steve! I hope you’re well! Thanks for the lovely compliments sir! You’re going to love a bit of West Walian trouting I can tell you that! My go to lure for shallow fast water is the Majorcraft Zoner Minnow 50SP Steve - cheap for the quality and they send the spotties wild at times! Enjoy dude!
I started off using a lot of spoons and picked up a few fish, but I found small crankbaits, on this venue at least, to produce a few more bites overall! Cheers mate!
Thank you sir! I am happy with the rod, lovely to play fish on, and easily handled the lower weights paired with my Aldebaran or my Conquest! Those Zoner Minnows from Major Craft are 1.6g with replacement singles!
Hi mate! I’m using a Shimano Conquest BFS reel paired with a Major Craft a Finetail Travel for the first part, and the Finetail Area Stage for the second!
I wouldn’t consider this being a pest sir. I’m more than happy to help! There are a few differences between them - the travel rod I have is 3ft8in or extendable you 4ft2in, the Area Trout is 5ft8in - the travel rod cast weight is 1-8g and the Area Trout is 1-5g - and the action of the Area Trout is way more progressive than the Travel (it bends right through the body of the rod) so it’s perfect for absorbing the jumps of trout!
Sorry for the delay in response mate! It's 13lb Sufix 832 braid, it is very smooth and defo aids casting, but the reel of course plays a large part in it as well!
