Are all the feathers in the nest from the chicks? If so, why do they lose so many feathers? Aren’t they just growing them?

Many of the scattered feathers are from the birds that they eat.

thanks for opening this comment section up. Are the chicks in danger when they run around and explore? like, falling from the tower if they poke their heads into stone openings where the parents fly out?
