DIY: How to make an inseam pocket and an invisible zipper in a side seam.

Today we continue working with the zipper and the inseam pocket made in the same side seam.
Next we are going to show you how to insert an invisible zipper. To do that first we need to press the side seam open.
There’s one thing I want to pay your attention to. We are making a mock-up. This fabric doesn’t stretch. This is why we didn’t have to double the seam with interfacing material.
What is also important is that in our case the pocket bag is made of the same fabric. If you make it of different fabric, you also need to attach an underlay piece to the pocket opening before inserting the zipper.
Due to the fact that the width of the seams is 1,5cm, it will be very convenient for us to tack the zipper.
Pin the zipper first, and then tack it. Don’t stretch or gather the zipper when pinning and tacking it.
When stitching a zipper, you need to change a regular foot for a special zipper one.
Be very attentive!
If you do everything just like we show you, you won’t have any problems.
