The Avarebele Mela is a culinary institution that originated as Mrs. Geetha Shivakumar's home cooking project 23 years ago to build a bridge between farmers and offer seasonal products to Bengaluru's consumers in a wide variety of savoury and sweet dishes. Farmers from Magadi, Karnataka, gather there with the best of their harvest, and the chefs from Shree Vasavi Condiments prepare a variety of dishes, all of which use avarebele.
