Good to see you back on a scooter video. I hate the sound of a dead battery particularly when you are traveling. Good job on the instructional video. I used a carefully placed bit of tape to hold the captive nuts in the battery until you can tighten the screws. Dropping one of those nuts can be a real challenge. The difficulty in finding it is directly proportional to the distance you are from help or additional hardware. Don't ask me how I know.
Changed my battery 2 months ago. Should be putting it away for the winter in about 2 months. Trickle charger came today and hooked it up. Best $20.00 I ever spent!

Thanks that’s really helpful. I’m changing my battery and fitting a flying lead for trickle charger at the same time on my 650 and that battery is not where it was on my 2000 Burgman 400!

My bike's dash lights up and I hear a little clicking sound, but it doesn't even make a sound when I try to turn it on. I am assuming the battery is dead. This was after charging it for 24 hours.
I just picked up an 03 650 burgman and it needs a new battery. I've already ordered a new battery for it because the original battery is stone cold dead. Its only got 4485 miles on it and its been sitting without running for 3 years. I want to drain the gas tank and put in fresh fuel and injection cleaner. Is there a fuel filter on these and if so, how hard is it to change it? Thanks ahead of time.

hi may i ask just purchased the 2008 mode i on the first ride my battery went flat ,i jump started but since i disconnect the jump starter the engine die in this case what do u think need to test the regulator ?make sure is charging properly?

No, I really don’t. I imagine there’s a relay, though going to that somehow.

Is that battery charger cable attached? Where did you connect it to, battery or the two leads on top of the battery? Thanks.
It’s attached at the battery bolts Along with the power leads.

Sounds like a dead battery to me. it just doesn’t have enough juice to turn over the engine. I would try that first probably the cheapest fix.

Another tip, put a small piece of hose under the nuts of the battery so that they stay stuck in there place

Does the Burgmann 650 bike engine work when the battery is disconnected?
You need the batter to start the bike. I don’t think it would with all of the electronics.

Use small zip ties around the terminals to hold the "washers" which are actually nuts but I'm not to question your use of terminology.
