It sounds like Erik was at a heightened sense of anxiety due to hearing there was going to be turbulence on the flight. Therefore, this absolutely normal thing to do (plucking a few microscopic eyebrow hairs) which would have normally just made him roll his eyes, huff, and say “Colleen’s being Colleen” turned in to him hyper focusing his anxiety and taking it all out on the eyebrows. Hearing that Colleen was so calm and almost dismissive makes it even better! I can picture her being blasé about it while Erik is just raging! 😤

I have indeed plucked a few stray eyebrows in first class. Colleen is right. Airplane window light is perfect for seeing those hairs that will make me crazy if I don't pluck them. All of those milestones are so bittersweet. I feel you.
I used to feel the same as Eric when it came to turbulence until I saw a TikTok describing that airplanes are basically an object in jelly when they are in the air!! When you feel turbulence you will never actually go anywhere because of the pressure pressing on all sides of the airplane! Also there has never been a recorded accident from turbulence! It really calmed me down after learning that! I hope it can do the same for you Eric!

i agree with colleen on the eyebrow hair issue 🤷🏻♀️ maybe it's just me, but i don't find loose eyebrow hairs gross at all considering there's all types of particles in the air that are much dirtier than eyebrow hair, especially on an airplane. i've seen people plucking their eyebrows in airports, subways, buses, public bathrooms, classrooms, etc and i've never found it weird. the most surprising thing for me was colleen being able to pluck those tiny invisible hairs in an airplane nevertheless with TURBULENCE considering i can't even get a hold of mine when i'm sitting with a giant mirror 1 centimeter away from my face

The definition of "Toddler" is a child that is first learning to walk. The word toddle means the little unsteady walk that they do when first learning. People just get super technical with it. In my opinion, 3 is still a toddler, even though by definition they aren't. 🤷♀️ I don't think I'm ready to stop thinking of Flynn as a toddler! It's too soon! 🥺😭
To me, toddlers are all that preschool stage of like, so up until like around 4 ;^^ 3-4 is definitely more kid than 2, but in my head, up until 2yo they're still babies ;^ ^ Anyways, it just goes too fast x)

A quote I saw right after I had my second baby and I had a toddler and a newborn was “the days are long but the years are short”. That has stuck with me and is so incredibly true. You could feel like every day is so long and like they’re babies for so long and then you blink and 2 years has gone by!
*My Relax is: Colds and the magic way of them disappearing when you need them* So, say you are sick all week and you go to the doctor to get checked. Before going you might be NON STOP coughing and sneezing without being able to stop but ONCE YOU ENTER the building to go to the doctor's appointment your symptoms have all of the sudden disappeared leaving you to talk about this horrible cold that has been bothering you all week when you haven't shown a SIGN of any of the symptoms you are mentioning. And it just makes you look insane and dramatic. It's like that building is cold free or something. And then once you're done with your appointment it starts again. 🤦🏻♀️ Why does that happen?😪

Public eyebrow plucking being gross is a very weird hill to die on. I definitely know the kind of thin, almost invisible hairs you're talking about and nobody will ever see a trace of them, so no one will be grossed out. That being said, I 100% get grossed out by other people's hairs so if they had been thick dark hairs and I found them in my seat I would hate you forever.
I have been watching Colleen for about 6 years and as soon as I saw you where starting a podcast I had never watched or listen to a podcast now I have watched everyone of these ( just recently got a channel so just subscribed but I love you and Erik)
My relax this week: general admission at concerts. I love being close to the stage by my favorite artist but going GA is such a process. You have to get there hours beforehand if you want a decent spot or even camp overnight, wait hours outside with no food or access to the bathroom and then when the doors open people are mean and shove you and push you then you have to wait even longer inside of the venue for the artist until the show is over and by the time it’s over my organs feel like they’re shutting down. I also twisted my knee at a concert last night because of being GA lol so my knee can relax too
ugh i totally agree! had my first GA at an olivia rodrigo concert and the whole concert seriously sucked just because of how it felt to be so crowded in a small space. plus i could barely even see her lmao

The eyebrow plucking isn’t gross. Not the same as fingernails which are on your hands (dirty) and would be visible if you let them fly free around plane as you clipped them. It’s normal for people to carry tweezers with them and pluck rogue hairs if you notice them when touching up makeup, etc. I feel like a few plucked eyebrow hairs floating around on a plane isn’t any grosser than the hair or skin cells that people constantly shed and leave behind them anyways. And I think many of us can think of far more disgusting things we’ve seen people do in public or on public transportation.

My relax is screen protectors. There is rarely a time when I put a screen protector on and there are no bubbles. And on the rare occasion that there are no bubbles there is always a tiny piece of dust or something.
My husband and I (married 9 years, together for 12 years, have a 3.5 year old son) 100% send each other pictures of our gnarly poops and it’s hilarious and disgusting. This is just one of the few gross things we bond and die laughing over. Give yourselves a couple more years. You’ll get there. P.s. We call the “clean sweeps” Jesus poops and the “forever wipes” satan poops.

I took a first aid and CPR class a few months ago and the instructor told us that the most common "splinter" is actually animal hair and people don't realize it. So with how much cat hair they have said they have in their house it makes sense why Erik has splinters all the time! haha

I used to feel the same as Eric when it came to turbulence until I saw a TikTok describing that airplanes are basically an object in jelly when they are in the air!! When you feel turbulence you will never actually go anywhere because of the pressure pressing on all sides of the airplane! Also there has never been a recorded accident from turbulence! It really calmed me down after learning that! I hope it can do the same for you Eric!

i agree with colleen on the eyebrow hair issue 🤷🏻♀️ maybe it's just me, but i don't find loose eyebrow hairs gross at all considering there's all types of particles in the air that are much dirtier than eyebrow hair, especially on an airplane. i've seen people plucking their eyebrows in airports, subways, buses, public bathrooms, classrooms, etc and i've never found it weird. the most surprising thing for me was colleen being able to pluck those tiny invisible hairs in an airplane nevertheless with TURBULENCE considering i can't even get a hold of mine when i'm sitting with a giant mirror 1 centimeter away from my face

The definition of "Toddler" is a child that is first learning to walk. The word toddle means the little unsteady walk that they do when first learning.

To me, toddlers are all that preschool stage of like, so up until like around 4 ;^^ 3-4 is definitely more kid than 2, but in my head, up until 2yo they're still babies ;^ ^ Anyways, it just goes too fast x)

A quote I saw right after I had my second baby and I had a toddler and a newborn was “the days are long but the years are short”. That has stuck with me and is so incredibly true. You could feel like every day is so long and like they’re babies for so long and then you blink and 2 years has gone by!

So, say you are sick all week and you go to the doctor to get checked. Before going you might be NON STOP coughing and sneezing without being able to stop but ONCE YOU ENTER the building to go to the doctor's appointment your symptoms have all of the sudden disappeared leaving you to talk about this horrible cold that has been bothering you all week when you haven't shown a SIGN of any of the symptoms you are mentioning. And it just makes you look insane and dramatic. It's like that building is cold free or something. And then once you're done with your appointment it starts again. 🤦🏻♀️

Public eyebrow plucking being gross is a very weird hill to die on. I definitely know the kind of thin, almost invisible hairs you're talking about and nobody will ever see a trace of them, so no one will be grossed out. That being said, I 100% get grossed out by other people's hairs so if they had been thick dark hairs and I found them in my seat I would hate you forever.
I have been watching Colleen for about 6 years and as soon as I saw you where starting a podcast I had never watched or listen to a podcast now I have watched everyone of these ( just recently got a channel so just subscribed but I love you and Erik)

My relax this week: general admission at concerts. I love being close to the stage by my favorite artist but going GA is such a process. You have to get there hours beforehand if you want a decent spot or even camp overnight, wait hours outside with no food or access to the bathroom and then when the doors open people are mean and shove you and push you then you have to wait even longer inside of the venue for the artist until the show is over and by the time it’s over my organs feel like they’re shutting down. I also twisted my knee at a concert last night because of being GA lol so my knee can relax too

The eyebrow plucking isn’t gross. Not the same as fingernails which are on your hands (dirty) and would be visible if you let them fly free around plane as you clipped them. It’s normal for people to carry tweezers with them and pluck rogue hairs if you notice them when touching up makeup, etc. I feel like a few plucked eyebrow hairs floating around on a plane isn’t any grosser than the hair or skin cells that people constantly shed and leave behind them anyways. And I think many of us can think of far more disgusting things we’ve seen people do in public or on public transportation.

My relax is screen protectors. There is rarely a time when I put a screen protector on and there are no bubbles. And on the rare occasion that there are no bubbles there is always a tiny piece of dust or something.

My husband and I (married 9 years, together for 12 years, have a 3.5 year old son) 100% send each other pictures of our gnarly poops and it’s hilarious and disgusting. This is just one of the few gross things we bond and die laughing over. Give yourselves a couple more years. You’ll get there.
P.s. We call the “clean sweeps” Jesus poops and the “forever wipes” satan poops.

I took a first aid and CPR class a few months ago and the instructor told us that the most common "splinter" is actually animal hair and people don't realize it. So with how much cat hair they have said they have in their house it makes sense why Erik has splinters all the time! haha

I side with Erik on the eyebrows… I think it’s more of a private bathroom task. It’s not that it’s “gross” so much as in society I think it’s seen as something you don’t do in certain public situations. But it’s not as bad as Erik was making it.
I'm with Colleen on this one! It's the perfect time and light to pluck eyebrows! The time is perfect because we never have time to do it unless you're obligated to be seated in one place, like a plane. And natural light is the most perfect light to see those small hairs
