🔥 This is the BEST video on Angelfish care that I’ve seen!!! I have a mating pair of Angelfish. At first they didn’t really vibe with each other. Then out of nowhere they started spawning in November. We’re 3 batches in with no success but they were in a community tank. Within the first week of being in their own tank, we had our 1st batch…lost early to fungus this morning. My first experience with that, it was shocking to say the least. I took it personal, I love my fish. So I needed to learn and learn quick. Within an hour of losing them, I come across your video. LISTEN!!! I’m watching your video over and over like a student! And I just happen to have a new 2.5 gallon tank too!!! Let’s do this!!! Thank you for your video and your devotion to educating us. This is in my favorites and will be used like a reference manual. Bless You!!!
I'm so glad that my video has been able to help you and your fish. I've had several people mention that they use this video like a reference guide and it's been able to help them have success breeding their angels. 🤗 Clean water is super important for the wrigglers, and that's the stage where most people have trouble. . . So, remember when the eggs hatch, make gradual 50% water changes / 2 times per day. Best of luck, and thank you so much for the kind words. 🤗🤗🤗
This is the kind of video I have been looking for for everything . The best video I have seen , to the point and vary educational . I'm 62 and I really dont care about what is happening in people lives or the drive to pick up a fish or their tank is dirty . I want to just learn about fish and tank care . Had tanks for 53 yrs and feel like a beginner . It's fun again
I'm the same way with the videos I watch! Just give me the facts! Anyway, thanks for watching and for taking the time to leave a comment. Have a spectacular day.
One of the few youtube videos of this length I've ever sat through. Such great information with a soothing narration. This is my angel's 2nd spawn. Wish me luck!
I was struggling to get past the wiggler stage thank you for making me understand why that was .. this really is the best angel fish breeding video. I have literally watched it 4 times lol. The tips helped me go from 20 percent hatch to about 80 percent.

Hello from the U.S. Thank you so much for watching the video and taking the time to leave a comment. I plan to continue creating these high quality videos for as long as I can. God bless you and your loved ones. 🐟🐟🐡
My breeding pair just laid her eggs on my filter intake tube which took me by surprise. I reached into the tank to slip in a foam sleeve to protect the eggs or fry to be eventually sucked up, but in the process about %75 of the eggs fell off the tube. Eggs laid on the bottom and subsequently eaten up by the tank mates. I did not intend to breed them, but nature just took its course. Thanks for that informative video.
I found it to be extremely informative and thorough! I am hoping to be able to successfully raise angelfish . I definitely feel better informed and more confident that I can succeed!
what a fantastic upload again. The information about the development of the eggs (embryonic ridge, adhesive glands,...) was new for me. I just love your uploads. 2 weeks old batch of rio nanay pterophyllum here in my house, doing fine.
This is just such a brilliant documentary! Thank You! As an Angelfish breeder myself, I learned a great deal - and the filming is absolutely exquisite (and we all know how hard this can be). You are a legend my friend!
Again I have watched this post several times. I do breed angel fish have been for a while I have had fish since I was 7-8 yrs old my first was a guppy plane Jane, but to me it was the best gift, a man named Mr.TONY a neighbor gave me one of his he had a whole wall of tanks well it was in a jar and every day I would in the morning look at it prior to school and after it had baby's I was hooked you see Mr. Tony gave me a female guppy that was gravid so than my mom and dad got me a maybe 10 gal. tank and corner filter and air pump back I guess 1958 -59 SO it all started with a single guppy to now breeding angels. Great video and narration very relaxing . Charlie AKA Dismas
Thank you for sharing your story with me. Here's mine: My neighbor introduced me to fish-keeping by giving me a 10 gallon tank, a small sponge filter, and an air pump. Per his instructions, I filled the tank with water and let it run for about one week. He then gave me a bag of what looked like ordinary soil ( it was actually peat moss with tiny eggs in it). He told me to put the soil in the tank and within a day or two I would have lots of fish. Sure enough, about 2 days later, there were lots of tiny Killifish swimming in the tank!!! I was amazed. Fish from a bag of dirt !!! That's how I got hooked. . . Now, over 30 year s later, I have 22 aquariums !!!
@@TheDave333 Great story I will be 70 in Sept. and still like the hobbies of fish or should I say obsession LOL have a great day as well as life. Charlie AKA Dismas
I purchased a pair of Angels from my local aquarium a few months back, and to my surprise, they were a spawning pair. While very cool, I was also completely unprepared as they went on a mating murder spree in my tank and ended up eating all of the fry. I've since moved the smaller fish to the upstairs tank and given the Angels the entire 55 gallons to see if I can get them to spawn again. I've been doing a bunch of research and I must say this is one of the most comprehensive and informative videos out there. I learned a lot. Nice job, thanks very much.
This video is amazing! I have kept and bred angelfish for a few years now and I still learned plenty from watching this incredibly detailed and informative video. Please keep them coming!
Thanks for watching the video and for taking the time to leave a comment. Breeding angelfish is not too difficult, and it's very rewarding. If you do decide to try it someday, I'll be here to help in any way that I can. Have a great day! :-D
You have a very calming voice & a very informative video, enjoyed it very much. Angels are my favorite, so graceful but I do get frustrated when they mature & start getting aggressive with each other.
Thank you for the kind words. Yes, their aggression can cause trouble, but it's their nature to be protective of their family. And, you have to respect their commitment to their offspring. . . Unlike those free-wheeling guppies who have babies all willy nilly and then just leave them to fend for themselves! 😀 Angelfish are aggressive, because they care. . . .
Amazing video. Soo educational and beautiful to watch. Thank you for the effort you put into these works of art. You made a loyal subscriber out of me. Ps i like the videos with your commentary more, reading is hard lol.
Most people say 20 gallon is not a good size but I find as long is you keep a 20 gallon *high* (2 feet long, 1 foot whide, and 16 inches high) because in my opinion angelfish are slower and more graceful when they are older because of there fins :)
As an Angel breeder of many years standing. I will totally recommend this video. Apart from feeding the young angel dried food, this can cause bowel troubles and death. So I only feed my young live foods until they are the size of my thumb nail.
It was really informative video ,my papa and momma angels just laid eggs, I mistook them as I saw them eating away their eggs but later understood from your video that they were actually looking after it. I am blessed to have them
The best video ive seen so far on raising the babies! Ive never kept angels, but a friend had a 30 gallon tank with two mated pairs. I learned from his tank. I dont think he actively raised fry, it just happened. Each pair took up one end of the tank, fight with each other in the mddle. Years later i spotted a pair of angels and informed the owner. They were separated, laid eggs and the store had a new batch of angels! I dare say they will breed as readily as guppies! Thanks for this, i think i might set up a large tank, spacious enough for two pairs! New subbie!❤
You do the best & most informative videos on u-tube & you have a voice that's very easy to listen too. You are my go to for any information, I need on any fish info Thank you & keep making videos.
I was constantly losing fry before they started swimming, I watched this video and now I have 150+ fry swimming about in my fry tank, thanks for the great video, very clear and informative 👍
Very informative --- no where had I heard the importance of the young making it to the surface of the water. I had an extra air hose lightly going into a breeder box thru the little feeder hole. I didn't realize it was making it harder for the young Angels to get to the surface thereby hindering their life sustaining air sacks. I thought I would get used to the narrators voice delivery -- but didn't.
Yes, I think about fish a lot. . . Seriously, A LOT !!! And, I have a very long list of fish I'd like to make videos about. Apistos are high up on that list. :-)
Excellent and extremely informative thank you so much. I will be using this video to teach a breeding cycle for angelfish to my two granddaughters who run a small fish room.
Thanks so much. I was looking on how to breed this guys but all videos I saw here in TH-cam are really short so they just try to explain everything as in a resume... I was looking a video extensively like this to 100% understand this fish. Thanks so much
DAVE!!! Another remarkable video! Goodness your camera lenses work magic! Again, all the support and appreciation to you and your work. I'm over here literally in wonder and awe. Happy Holidays & New Year! I sincerely wish you prosperity, well being, and mere happiness in your future and endeavours. Till next video!
I had a lovely pair of angelfish (species unknown) in my first aquarium. I had not a lot of knowledge at the time. The aquarium seller chose the various fish he said will do well together. He provided books as well, and feeding optiôns. The angels did mate, but sadly, I wasn’t prepared. It was a fascinating process, and I passed the tank over to a serious hobbyist when I moved long distance after 7 years. I had very little attrition among the fish, and he kept the aquarium among his own very well. I wish I had access to your vast array of information when I was in my starting phase. One day, I will choose a species, and try again with your guidance. Your video makes me want to explore this again, and your tutorials lead me to believe I might manage. I’m thinking guppies as a good beginner fish. Thank you for being a great inspiration and guide.❤️🖤🇨🇦
@ That is good for me to know, and lifts my confidence. I will likely start in Spring, so they aren’t transported in the cold, and I can arrange. A good space in the house after getting the rooms currently cluttered with overflow from my things, and those of my new housemate, (an old lady friend who moved up from London after Richard’s death, and her family putting her in an untenable situation. At least I could ensure her of some security in her senior years. She will have a sewing and dressmaking studio in the basement as I get my jewellery studio, and much needed storage space to lighten the load on the upper three floors. Life is weirdly strange sometimes.❤️🖤🇨🇦
I've learned a thing or two in my 60 years of living, and the most important lesson of all was to ride rather than fight this giant wave that we call life. Because there's' no sense in battling the wave. . . You can't win, the key is to ride the wave and not fight what is inevitable. Things come and go in our life for a reason. I've learned to go with the flow, ride the wave, and accept the changes as they come. We can't control what happens, we can only control how we respond. Sorry for rambling. . . .
Glad you enjoyed it! Best of luck with the breeding. Be sure to watch my video on angel fish aggression. It may save you a lot of heartache in the future. 🙂🙂🙂 th-cam.com/video/nJGDCF2jdgQ/w-d-xo.html

You are so good at this, why don’t you do a video on testing very hard water, my is at 300 and I can’t get it down. I have done 50% water, I’ve done everything I know to do “HELP” !
Hello, and thanks for watching the video. I'm assuming you live in Florida where the water is hard due to the limestone bedrock. Many commercial angelfish breeders are located in Florida, and they're successfully breeding them in Florida water. The angels will usually adapt to harder water. I use rain water to soften my water if needed.
This is invaluable ❤ thanks for this! I just recently caught the angel bug and got my first baby phillipine blue angel! ❤ they are so personable and intelligent ❤❤I am in love! ❤keep videos like this up!

Thanks for watching the video.
Very informative, the video quality is spectacular, the narration is brilliant 10 out of 10.
Thank you kindly! 🤗🤗🤗
Great voice and narration for sleeping ASMR 🙂
Thank you! 😁
The best educational videos as always! Keep up the great work! Have you thought about doing apistogramma?
Yes, I think about fish a lot. . . Seriously, A LOT !!! And, I have a very long list of fish I'd like to make videos about. Apistos are high up on that list. :-)
Excellent and extremely informative thank you so much. I will be using this video to teach a breeding cycle for angelfish to my two granddaughters who run a small fish room.
Thank you so much for watching the video, and taking the time to leave a comment. Granddaughters with a fish room - -- lucky you! :-D

Most helpful video you can find! Thank you! I was looking for such an amazing info for a while!
Glad it was helpful! :-)
Thanks so much. I was looking on how to breed this guys but all videos I saw here in TH-cam are really short so they just try to explain everything as in a resume... I was looking a video extensively like this to 100% understand this fish.
Thanks so much

WOW, that was an amazing video, TONS of information, great quality sound and video.
Thank you so much!
Perfect video! This taught me so much about angelfish. Thank you and keep up the excellent work! :)
Awesome! Thank you!
I am always happy to help a kindred spirit. I'll be here when you need me.
Sorry for rambling. . . .
@ I could not have said that better, you aren’t rambling, you expressed what more people need to comprehend, and I appreciate it.💖🖤🇨🇦
This video was very informative - thank you for posting.

Awesome thank you. I love watching a tiny life take form. It's miraculous. 📽
Awesome and amazing video, I have been looking at videos for severals months, this is the best one I have seen. Best informations on Angel Fish and breeding especially on sex, difference from male and female and rising fry, incredible work. Thank you it was very helpful and appreciate. Ray
Wonderful! 😁 Thanks for watching.
