He was given to me in a tiny critter trail and he was super stressed because all that would fit inside was his wheel and like an inch of bedding. I did research and watched a bunch of your videos, and Teddy now lives in a bin cage with 480 sq inches of floor space with plenty to do and a bunch of bedding to burrow, all thanks to you!!!
I just wanted to say how much I appreciate you and your channel. If it weren't for you I would have my hamsters living in critter trail cages with mesh wheels and fed daily about two yogurt drops. But instead my hamsters are living in two story IKEA detolf size cages, with a good size silent spinner, and fed healthy treats three times a week. Thank you so much! You have helped me and tons of others giving their pets perfect care. I really appreciate what you do!
My dwarf hamster passed away this week from old age 😢 she was over 2 years old and I could tell she was getting to that point. She was my first ever hamster and I learned so much from you on how to properly care for her. I’m hoping to adopt another dwarf before the end of the year, but for now, I’ll just keep enjoying your videos in memory of my little Hazel girl 💜

I instinctively dug through all ten inches of his bedding trying to find him since I hadnt seen him for a few days (but he was a ghost hamster anyway). Hi! I personally think check ups with hamsters aren't exactly necessary and likely can be just added stress since you can do your own health checks at home, and when doing them if you notice something off or something that has changed then you can make a vet appointment 😊

He passed unfortunately, but after watching your videos, I recently bought a 720 sq inch cage for a future hamster. Thank you so much!

Hey Victoria just as a helpful tip, when you’re mounting anything to a wall you DO want to hit the stud. They should be every 16-24 inches. Typically it’s 16 if you’re in the us. When your screws are self tappers like the ones you were using, they’re intended to go in a stud. If they are just in the drywall it’s very likely they will fall out at some point. Cheers!
Haha I’m very aware! Thing is my condo did a shit job with building and when we redid the floors it was obvious there was barely any studs, don’t ask me how the walls stay up 😂

Hey guys something terrible happened with my hammy 2 days ago. I was cleaning her cage like normal and put her in the bath with a her rug and I noticed she had something red on her ears. I thought it was blood but it was just fluff from the blanket. Anyway I tried to get it it for her but she wriggled out of my hands and I dropped her back in the tub. She didn’t squeal or anything I left her there cause I didn’t want her to go into shock or something and then put her back in her cage. Everything seemed normal until she didn’t come out last night and she’s usually pretty active but I didn’t think much of it. Same thing today so I decided to open her house to check on her. She seemed fine but I noticed she’s limping the poor girl. And dragging her foot along. I didn’t inspect it too much as I don’t know If she’s in pain and I don’t want to hurt her or make it worse. I told my parents about it and how I want to take her to the vet tomorrow but they’re dismissive saying they fall all the time she’ll probably be fine in afew days but I’m not convinced. I moved her food bowl to the bottom part of the cage and added a water bottle just in case she can’t stand up as it’s her back leg that’s the problem. I’ll do everything I can to convince my parents to take her TOMORROW as I’m so so sooo worried about her and I feel awful ! It’s all my fault and I really didn’t mean to hurt her and I didn’t expect her to get hurt as when she was a baby she’d constantly be jumping off everything and being absolutely fine. I just need some tips if anyone knows any just in case I have to wait till the next day i want to do everything I can to ensure she will be okay 😭😭😭😭
Yeah go to a vet 🥺poor hammy My sisters hamster got a eye infection and she took it to the vet after 4 days because of covid situation and she got given medication but it was still too late and she passed away so go as soon as possible

Luckily I got her to the vet today she hasn’t broken any bones she’s just got damaged nerve ending on her back left leg. The vet gave me some anti inflammatory,painkillers and some vitamins to help with the regeneration of the nerve ending in her foot. I’m monitoring her food and water as well ,took all of her cloning toys and wheels out so she can rest and that’s all I can do for now. I hope she gets better and your sister is okay
