It's also adding another source of friction and weight. Every gearing redirection and energy transfer stage introduces an efficiency coefficient which is never 100%. And for long rides the losses add up. Obviously it's hard to quantify this loss on the bike, but we know for sure that it's present.
It’s actually made in Yorkshire but that area of Yorkshire is managed by Lancashire County Council, no relation to the historical and geographical county of Lancashire which Barnoldswick isn’t in.

Rode the original at Tweedlove a few years back and it was great but I think is the iteration that will be noticed.
Yeah, I see Woody from Hope on my local trails regularly and they've been working on various tweaks for years. Definitely paid off for them.
