Using the MG is fun. One of my favorite pastimes is loading into reserve with just a shotgun to avoid tagged/cursed. I go to the building with an MG that overlooks the Helicopter and I wait for player scavs to start looting the crates in the open. Great fun.
7.62x54R LPS GzH and .366 EKO are both low key monsters pre lvl 15 and even beyond. Cheap guns, lvl 1 trader ammos, and reliable lvl 3 and lvl 4 penetrations with high damage.

They definitely got stealth buffed, and then "nerfed" ("we lowered the accuracy on scavs that have automatic weapons, which is 1/10 scavs"). This video shows how busted they are right now (between the scav showing up on his screen and him getting head eyes'd it took literally 1 second).
Bro this wipe up until around level 20 I ran the mosin straight questing. A lot of times with nothing but a headset. It’s so easy to single someone out and then gear up and finish questing. I will avoid fights until the right opportunity. If I can quest without fighting I will. But if I can get a free kill or a good chance at one I’m taking a shot with the mosin. Especially early in wipe. Head tapping people with LPS in an iron sight mosin brings me great joy.
If nothing else, I learned about the roof spot. I got about 18 hours in Tarkov, was leaving that house and got gunned down, I'm sure it was from that roof.

The mosin getting nerfed originally was when i started playing less. i loved it so much and i could play solo and still have fun. haven't played in 2 wipes now at this point but id love to have another mosin meta.

I feel like a paca and no helmet barely makes a difference, the only difference i feel wearing “better” armour is that I cant run away when I need to because im too heavy and the rounds still penetrate, or I get shot in the face. In fact, ive done better using light weak armour because im able to actually move, sometimes helmets have saved me before but not enough where I would invest in a helmet better than level 3
For some reason my most successful raids are the pistol ones. When I'm super geared, I always get outgunned and killed. When I bring in only pistol, I one tap chads in the face. Today on interchange for instance there was team of 3 in IKEA offices. Tapped 1 with usp through window, pushed up and tapped the other two

There's more to it than the nerfing and the changes - Cheaters. I prefer the slow play, I usually rocked mid-, to long range weapons (including the Mosin) backed up by any small arms I cold find in raid. I used to be able to kill from a distance, outflank opponents, and crash fights already underway - it was georgous. Then people started getting better and better and better and better until I only met god-like players who dropped me like the meatbag I am through the foliage from across the map with spray-and-pray weaponry... Not skill, just the software giving them the headshot. So I slowly adjusted to the new way of playing which really boiled down to always always always ALWAYS be behind hardcover, or sprinting all out between. Then BSG (with a little help from a YT friend.....) finally decided to start working somewhat on cheaters. And lo and behold, the old slow style is now somehwat passeable again. I can again take the long shots without being insta-killed from across the abyss, I can again play with Chads running past me without knowing I'm there (until I make my move). I am no longer a green arrow on their secondary screen, they do not know where the danger is. At least on the more open maps, like Customs, Woods, etc. I don't play Labs much, I hear it's still bad there. But on the great outdoors BSG's measures are slowly starting to give results, and that plays a big part of why the way of the Rat can now return.

I run the base 54R ammo in my SVD, nearly stock, And a clap TF out of people. I dumpstered two BLATANT (they admitted to it and told us all our user names/gear we had) cheaters. They had the tactics of a drunken 4 year old. They were RAGING to the point of messaging me and threatening to hack me IRL. They failed miserably of course as they hadn't a GOD DAMN CLUE about actual hacking. But I concur LPS is fucking NUTS.

I feel like I've been going crazy and no one remembers "mosin winter" as I called it. One of the worst times to play tarkov. mosin would 1 tap anything that wasn't level 5 armour making it either level 5 or nothing meta. also level 1 mosin ammo would 1 tap altyn. Least favorite wipe. (excluding this one ;) )

To help with your callouts on "diggers". The one with the big long arm by mechanic you called out, is an Excavator, the ones with the huge bucket on the front are usually called "loaders" for Front End Loader. Maybe help narrow down callouts. Enjoyed the vid, are you being inspired by DayZ vids? I get a lot of the vibe. Keep it up, enjoyed watching.

Don't forget the chest hp was buffed to 85 damage from 80 and then PS or 7N1 was nerfed from 86 to 84.

T46M is kind of objectively better. Since it has a 20% fragment chance it will one shot class 4's 20% of the time, and it's cheaper than LPS
You cannot one shot to the thorax as fragmentation doesn't work on thorax
@@2Lew Is that just on rounds fired from players? I've been one tapped by scavs with fragmenting 7.62 PS rounds like half a dozen times
