- Secret Life is a new SMP series where each player has 3 lives, and 30 hearts with no regeneration! Like ultra hardcore, but even golden apples don't regenerate your health! Each session, the secret keeper gives us a secret challenge that we must complete, and if we do we get 10 extra hearts.

Mumbo’s task being to make a pun and Grian’s task being not to make anyone laugh at his jokes is AN AMAZING COMBINATION
It was made more chaotic that Mumbo is requried to make Grian laugh while Grian has to make Mumbo not laugh creating many mind games.

The funniest thing about this to me is that Mumbo and Grian making terrible puns to each other for nearly an hour would be just as in-character even if it wasn’t related to their secret tasks
From Mumbo's perspective there probably wasn't anything unusual about Grian running up and immediately making a pun. It's just regular day one shenanigans for the two of them no matter the server.

If Grian's goal was to make jokes that no one would laugh at, maybe targeting the one person who always laughs at his jokes wasn't the best idea. Although the fact that he was the one to immediately instigate the pun-off was probably the best outcome Mumbo could have asked for.

It's the plugin for the tasks, they all broke the block right as the count down started
and both got joke related tasks and found eacother
For Grian & Mumbo to have such similar tasks and to find each other almost immediately is hilarious
The way Mumbo contributed to people's tasks: Not laughing at Grian's first pun joke, his inability to craft a shield and giving Jimmy the opportunity to break his crafting table THREE times, matching Bdubs' uncomfortable house because he thought it looked cool, saying Impulse's obsession with cherry was "culty". What a hilarious first session!!

Grian choosing to do puns for his bad jokes, while you were doing tasks specifically aimed at puns is pure gold. Now I get why you were on such a roll with them, Grian really served you the opportunity on a silver platter by starting the pun train

*28:16* Bdubs' sheer excitement when he suggests ''OH, we could be called the Axis!'' followed up by Cleo's almost panicking exclamation and resentment, and then all of their realization has to be one of the funniest things to ever happen in Secret Life so far, it's just comedic gold!
"we're gonna cause... *a fence"* is probably the best pun Mumbo came up with. everything about it - the buildup, Mumbo realising what his next move will be and *audibly smiling* as he talks, the delivery, the fact Grian was facing away down a tunnel so Mumbo *perfectly* volleyed the fence over him to land on the block directly in front of Grian right as he said it - it's phenomenal. i have watched this part 78 times.

@abuaku1425 The Axis was the name of the alliance between Germany, Italy, and Imperial Japan in World War II. Cleo, being a school teacher, recognized this immediately and knew it would be a bad idea to use that name, whereas Bdubs and Mumbo did not initially make the connection and were innocently enthusiastic about the name before Cleo reminded them.
They could ask pearl to build a harbour for realism

I'm guessing (hoping?) that the Life series being unscripted (or less scripted at least), having a defined theme and an enforced narrative framing (in terms of sessions) makes them less work to put together than a regular Hermitcraft episode, but yeah, still very impressive.

@@neverg0nnag1vey0uup If you're still unaware, then the Axis is the name of the alliance that Nazi Germany had with Fascist Italy and Imperial Japan during the second world war. (if you want the origins then the term "Berlin-Rome axis" should help).

Everyone's been having weird stacking issues this season. I don't know if it's a bug with the update or with their data pack.
its probably due to them getting the secret task cause it happened to everyone during the animation
I have seen a few other POVs, and it's happened to the people who were collecting logs while they received their secret

I was litterly gonna say the same thing!
I like how Mumbo could have easily avoided the "top of the roof" issue by giving the house an even width. The he could have just put two stairs there.
That would also make it possible to make the doors actually usable without having to go into crawling mode or anything.
