    Beast Mode: Ready for more speed? Tap the ON button five times to shift from Mode 1 (max speed of 16mph) to Mode 2 (max speed of 24mph). Look for a "13" on the display, then push the throttle, to toggle between modes. Then, hit the ON button another 5 times to lock in the mode you chose.

    Just purchased mine over the weekend for the same $809 in your description. Absolutely incredible price for what ive seen so far about this scooter. I should be receiving it hopefully by next weekend.
    Great review, btw!
    Ive traveled all around, and i see on film how beautiful Switzerland is, but like you mentioned, it's darn expensive. Perhaps one of these days.

    The chap on the lovely full suspension Apollo city almost stopped me being pleasantly surprised by this scooter 😂 The specs, performance, ip rating and full bright (even in daylight) 😅turn signals front and rear really surprised me. In face the rear turn signals are better than the Apollo city. Be even better if they added some suspension and/or dual motors but still a great scooter for most people. Good review Tim as always!

      I think your observations are spot on @e-scooterguy, it was funny because while filming this video three different people stopped by and told me that they had bought scooters that I had recommended...which was really cool :) The first viewer from the UK had bought a Dualtron Victor, the next guy was the one with the City and the last guy stopped me while riding with his family on a Niu KQi 3 Max. The common consensus was that they were all delighted with their purchases. Which was awesome to hear. I wonder...maybe next time, I'll do a quick interview...but three in one day was wild lol :)

    Nice video; did not even know about Vmax from Switzerland and I am from Europe. Great to see more scooters that use a UL certified battery pack for added safety.

    I REALLY like this model. Had seen it before but it was never available in North America. To me it-though I don't know the price-it's a perfect model for downtown city commuting: the battery certification is HUGE, love the high-mount turn signals, and the excellent IP rating. It would need to be a good $500-$700 cheaper than the Apollo City Pro though. Next you need to review the Apollo Go!

      @TimsElectric  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks @ericembacher602, I completely agree. Not sure about the Go...I wonder if it's too small for a big guy review...I think it's only a 36V.

    Great Review! One detail that I noticed that I wanted to correct for prospective buyers is that one brake level is purely controlling the regenerative braking via the rear wheel motor, while the other is purely controlling the singular front drum brake. There is only one drum brake on the scooter.

    Excellent review ant footage. What makes this nominal 500w motor more outstanding and efficient than your previously tested identical wattage scooters?

    • @TimsElectric
      @TimsElectric  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Awesome question @MrLevi136, I don't know...they do say 1300W peek....I suspect that it's the controller...perhaps allowing more amps...but that's my guess :)

      Awesome @VonBarter, I'd love to review it too...I was talking with someone yesterday after they checked out the VX2 Pro and they were super impressed with how solid it felt when riding..unexpected :)

      LOL @Deliver-Fool, it's funny that you say that....as the Apollo City (dual motor) was my pick for 2023...love it....even more fun on this filming day I bumped into three people who mentioned that they purchased scooters based on my recommendations :) I think my next video with the Vmax is a comparison video...which one should I compare it to?

    • @Deliver-Fool
      @Deliver-Fool 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@TimsElectric For a comparison video, it's important that the specs are the same or at the very least, very simiar. The Kugoo G2 Pro has very similar specs (15Ah) to this & is a very popular scooter here in London so would be cool to see that.

      It‘s called „extreme“, not „externe“… better display, some minor more improvements and 1600 W peak

    Hi buddy theres not 1 video on you tube explaining how to set a password code. The vmax manual is ridiculous hard to understand very confusing. The only video showing how to do it is in german.thank you for any advice how to set.

      sorry to hear @king1ny, I actually don't remember...and don't have it here to check...but I would just email them...they're super responsive :) and then you don' t have to translate from German :) or use Google translate :)

      @@TimsElectric I tried to email them three days ago still no response and they don't answer phone calls either. Thanks for your help. It's ridiculous the way they don't explain it in the manual clearly.

    I am very curious if you had any insights on duties and customs? I live in Vancouver, so I am hoping to get something IP66 rating for commuting. But I am hesitant since VMax ships free to Canada but doesn't have much information on how much the duties and customs would cost. Which would make the already $1130 cad (sale price) scooter cost an extra $200 in potential cost.

    • @TimsElectric
      @TimsElectric  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Awesome question @wongmanproducitons, it all depends on the customs officer in my experience.
      You'll get hit with duties and taxes.
      If you get lucky you will get charged GST only
      If not you'll get PST as well.
      It seems to be a crap shoot as to whether or not you get charged both.
      So yes put aside those fees and keep your fingers crossed :)
      Cheers
      Tim
      p.s. Or look at the Apollo City ...awesome IP rating and it's shipped from Montreal :)
      Lots of videos on my channel on it as it's my go to scooter :)
