That's a really cool setup you got there! You are giving me some inspiration for my Santa Cruz. Thank you for the video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hi Jake. This is Ryan in the little black Jeep. It was nice meeting you guys. Great job on the video!
Glad you enjoyed the video! Hope to see you out on the trails some time!
Hey! We would like to sponsor the LED Headlights Bulbs, would you be interested in trying it?😉
Maybe someday you’ll have a channel big enough for “Hyundai Santa Cruz off-road challenge!!!!!!” Until then keep up the good work.
Here's hoping! I really want to put the santa cruz. Through Hell haha
can you tell me what cross bars you used for the bed to mount the tent iam looking to do the same thing to my 2024 thanks
Got a whole video on them in our Santa Cruz Playlist. Check it out :)
It seems like spring in Iowa comes pretty late 🧐 Do you have any mountains there or it’s basically flat ? Great video ! Still saving money for my SC. Will go down to US to bring to Canada non turbo model.
Definitely late this year lol.
Unfortunately I would say 85% of the state is flat, and hilly. On the fringes of norther Iowa there are a few mountains terrain.
Glad you enjoyed the video! Good luck with your Santa Cruz!
How do you combat rainy days? I have one with the tonneau cover and it leaks a lot toward the back and the front by the tailgate, my stuff would get wet
All of our gear goes into these big water proof containers. Or the little truck pocket. Every thing stays nice and dry 🙂
WHAT TENT MODEL DO YOU HAVE AND SIZE TO FIT THE BED THANKS
It's a pretty old CVT roof top tent. Unfortunately they don't make this modle any more. But it's a small. 2 adults and a child will fit easy
What kind of bars are on the bed of your Cruz?
There side rails for a dodge,
Check out our roof top tent video.
Thanks I've been racking my brain for weeks..
Brother, I also have a Santa Cruz. I gotta ask, why do people tend to put their tents on top of the bed instead of on the roof. It seems that the roof would be the best place because it would leave the bed more open for storage. Even the gladiator has the tent over the bed. Just curious thanks!
There's a few good reasons. One being for aerodynamics. When I had my roof basket and gear on the top of the car. It totally tanked my miles per gallon.
Also affected the way I travel at high way speeds.
2nd. For trucks specifically the rear suspension is designed to carry big cargo. So by moving the weight of the tent back there it makes the drive more comfortable by putting some preload on the suspension.
I can't speak for every one. But we can totally fit all of our gear in the truck bed and still have access to the little trunk so it works pretty well for us!
Cheers.
@@AdventureGT thanks for the reply! I’m gonna have to make a video about my SC soon! It’s not as rugged as yours but I’ve been having fun with it.
Tag us or link us on insta so we can check it out!
I would really like to get that for mine. You possibly give me the brand of your tent
It's an old cascadia vehicle tent
Unfortunately it's not sold any more, sorry
The base 2.5l is underpowered.
Awesome video! Love your content very much! I am from a brand called Suparee producing car's accessories. We have a great demand to promote our product. Could you shoot a video for our brand?
Made me cringe so hard when you gassed it on the pull
Imagine how the jeep owner felt lol.
jesus you flooring it on the first tug made me cringe so hard omg
Your not to only one to mention that. Definitely teeth rattling lol.
Happy to have learned something new at Joe's work shop!
