this was the show back in the day. My brothers and I would rush home to watch power rangers first then switch to this afterwards. Shows just aren't the same anymore. I'm glad my children prefer this version of carmen sandiego than the new one that's out. I wish they would play these episodes on tv, netflix, prime, hulu etc even shows like Bug Juice or Figure it out etc
They're probably hesitant to put it on streaming because a lot of the answers are now incorrect thanks to geopolitics and changing borders. IIRC, that's one of the reasons the show wasn't renewed but instead reworked into "Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego?"-the answers to history questions are much less likely to change year to year. For a show that's aiming to be educational, it's not a good look if your reruns have outdated information. Too bad "Where in Time..?" was never as good as the original.
They've Got to do a Remake of This AWESOME Game Show, and have present day Celebrity's giving out the clues, Like Actor James Franco, Actress Sigourney Weaver, Actress Danica McKeller, Actor Fred Savage, Dwayne "The ROCK" Johnson, Golfer Tiger Woods, etc. etc.
I love how nobody thought how ridiculous stealing some of this stuff would be. An entire film festival? The entire earth's core? Hello?? Like couldn't they have just swiped the MOVIES for the festival instead of the whole thing??
well considering around the time of this episode, it had recently been covered by Phil Collins, which is why Nick considers it by Phil Collins, he is aware that the Supremes originated
No, there were three gumshoes in the history of the show who got 0 on the maps of Asia (Season 1), Africa (Season 2), and Europe (Season 3). Plus, several other gumshoes got 1 location right on Africa as well as Asia and even Europe throughout the show's run as well.
Yes, they are the two largest continents in the world with the most number of countries. And Asia has many tiny-sized countries that are hard to see even when the continental map is right-side-up.
Africa or Asia were the worst two maps, Europe was middle of the road (depending on how many former Russian republics were drawn to find- if they stuck to western or middle Europe you were golden, but if they drew what felt like most of eastern or southeastern Europe, you were kind of up the creek), but if you drew North or South America for the bonus round, odds were good you could pull it off (South America had maybe a dozen or thirteen possible locations before they started using physical features, and the U.S.A. was easy street if you were just halfway good at geography).

My god, I’m so jealous of Greg Lee that he got to actually talk to and act with Lynne Thigpen. She’s so amazing.
I was 11 years old when this aired and I remember it so well. This show was everything and u learned a thing or 2 also!!!
Used to love this show! Thanks for uploading!

@@QBG the ironic thing is episodes of Where in the World are practically History lessons now
that's odd I thought Power Rangers took some of the Carmen's audience away
As a 90s teen that was my weekday afternoon staple. Carmen Sandiego followed by Bill Nye.
Good combo. I loved both shows
This show is classic. Billl Nye turned into a complete a-hole.
Same here
well done
Greg Lee and Phil Moore are my 2 favorite Kids game show hosts from the 90's! :)
More episodes of this show please..............................
Missed opportunity by Rockapella to do some Johnny Cash tunes during the Jailtime round
Elise could have nailed that map.
Oh no Greg it’s the ominous music! I knew this would be a bad day. Blauggh!
To be continued...
I like how D.T just enter into scene, nod, then drop off they're like "mmhmm yup" then they're gone

True, but who are you going to find to play The Chief as well as Ms. Thigpen did?
@@DrJekyll38 I suggest Janet Hubert who played the first Aunt Viv on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
@@munimathbypeterfelton6251 I actually could see that. The worst case scenario, they get Leslie Jones to play the Chief.
Shout-out to Carl Winslow

Nashville is the city with the country music stars.
As well as the Tennessee Titans and Nissan Stadium
never see that coming

The Acmettes' song parody:
You Can't Hurry Love by Phil Collins.
You forgot The Supremes who sang You Can't Hurry Love
well considering around the time of this episode, it had recently been covered by Phil Collins, which is why Nick considers it by Phil Collins, he is aware that the Supremes originated
So The Supremes sang it first in the 1960s then Phil Collins in 1983
exactly
Didn't Rockapella do a parody of this song in "Patty's Plaster Picture Pinch?"
looks like another early taped season 3 episode
Great show
This was probably the worst final map attempt in history
a gumshoe did even worse with Africa in the second season
iHeart Gaming and Whose Line and there was one who got 0 on the Europe map during this season

i get the feeling they aren't singing the song live at the end
Yes, they're lip-synching.
Was it just me or was African and Asia the hardest maps?
Those two continents are the hardest but doable

As a kid, we all knew that if you got Africa, you were doomed.

For the most part, yes. But several gumshoes did in fact nail Africa throughout the show's five seasons.
Nashville is in Tennessee. I never been to Nashville.
I liked it. It was pretty cool
