My one that got away there was a few but the main one was a 70 GTX 440 4 speed car that was 100% original I was building my nova at the time so I told a guy Billy I went to high school with about the car he went and bought the car brought it home tuned it up and waxed it and made a ton of money on it I only told him about the car because it was so nice I thought he would keep it. He made almost 6k on it.

But The Chrome Is All Pitted .Shoud I Get It ReChromed Or Leave It As Is What Would You Do ????? Its An Original 55 Hood And Trunk Emblem.

Not sure, but are the wheels RaceStars? When someone answers right, can you tell me the brand, size and offset. Also fronts. Tire sizes too. I am starting to work on my '55 again, and I love that look and stance. I have stock '55 rear end under mine. Your ride looks AWESOME! Thanks much.
@@pythononemo 15x8 rear. 275 60 15 Mickey Thompson street ET’s. I have a ford 9” I can’t remember the off set. Fronts are tires are 215 60 15. My 55 definitely has a different stance than most 55’s. Kinda that 70’s early 80’s up in the rear. Does have the 2 inch drop spindles in front. Nope the wheels are not race stars. Thanks so much for your questions. I'm thinking a Blueprint Engines 383 crate motor for mine, so I'm sure the factory rear end isn't going to handle that much power. Not going to the strip for hard runs with slicks on, but occasional a quick blast on a back road. The Cragars look great.
@ it’s a custom 9”. Has after market axles and an aluminum center section with 4:11’s. The cars has an aluminum headed stroker. Runs well. The car hooks hard at the drags. I would love to find the center caps for the rear wheels. They were missing since we picked up the car years ago the fronts have the caps still. I think I am going to run Cragars S/S’s at some point. Shoot me an email and I can send you a bunch of pictures.

@ they look exactly like the welds. My guess is the same manufacturer made them for both companies. They are definitely odd because when you say Cragar you think of the chrome five spoke SS’s like a hot wheel. I think these were built in the mid 80’s is my guess.
