Thank you for answering my question about pacers. The Q&A has been great, appreciate the time and effort to put together the videos.

Wes, I had the pleasure to meet you last year when we worked the Orcas 100 Mountain Lakes aid station. I am out here again for the (delayed) Orcas 25k. I haven’t trained much for the last couple of weeks due to a sore back. As I was scanning TH-cam, I came across this VLOG from last week and when you mentioned Yoga for Runners, I was like “that’s just what I need.” So I found Adrienne’s videos, spent 40 minutes in yoga practice, and WOW, just what I needed in prep for tomorrow (yes, even at 9:00 p.m.). Thanks for the inspiration and ideas, and for your all-around connectedness with the running community.

Loving these training vlogs especially as I break away from road races and in to trail / ultras. Have a great week of training and good luck on your 50miler later this week.

You are such a an inspiration. I just moved off the wait-list into the entrants field for this year's Bigfoot 200. I'm terrified of the distance, but I guess that comes with the territory 😂

Yay Ben! Congrats! Good to respect Bigfoot, it is a strong course. But it will teach you a lot! Excited for you.

Loving these training vlog videos. Something I look forward to each week. Glad you enjoyed a good down week. Would you rather race go go on a runventure? I think I'd rather go on a runventure but racing has pushed me out of my comfort zone and has helped show me that I'm capable of more.

Tough choice! Thanks for sharing a question for the next episode. Talk to you soon!

Wes, running in my section of South Dakota from Dec-March can be atrociously cold! When you’re not training for that 200 + distance do you keep your mileage at a certain weekly or monthly distance? I’m eyeing a 100 miler next year and the idea of “rebuilding” each year is daunting. Thanks for all the inspiration!

Thank you for the question for the next episode. Leah just watched my answer and she commented that a lot of ultra runners run a higher volume than I do, so it might be encouraging to see that 20-30 mile weeks are sufficient for me to maintain some fitness. I do suggest using a coach if your life allows for that, I have really appreciated mine.

Hi Wes, I am just coming off of my first 100 mile attempt which was coincidentally at badger mt. I had to drop at mile 81 for missing the cutoff and a plethora of different reasons. Curious if you have any experience with dnfing and how you can process it. I’m happy with my effort since it was a big distance pr but I’m still trying to figure out all that went wrong and a way to bounce back.

Thanks for the great question for the next episode! 100s are hard, and in ultras in general every time out is a learning experience. I found this link from the podcast I was thinking of... instagram.com/reel/C1K3cXkJOUd/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

Hi Wes! I Hope everything ok! 💪🏻 I've got a question About the shoes.. I know you use Topo Athletic but before? I mean I usually use Brooks but now After my Last injury I Use Altra Running, but before I tried Mizuno, New Balance and Nike (too tight) and my other problem Is that I have big Feet, 14/15 in the US size!😂😂 Anyway, I'm Happy that your training to Cocodona going very well! Also I love the music you use in your video, very cool! 👍🏻 good week and stay strong with you 50k! 🇮🇹🤞

Hi Matteo! Thanks for the question. BTW, I used Statshunters.com to look at my activities in a table view where I could see the gear I had assigned all my old runs. It was useful!
