Thanks so much for sharing more on your hallucinations Wes. Fascinating stuff and I’m glad none of it has ever been spooky for you! This week’s runs looked beautiful and you are doing so well to train through your chest pain. I’m so sorry you are still experiencing this. I hope the CT scan will help get to the root of it and that you’ll be feeling much better soon 🤞
Great content, Wes. What I've realized that I'm getting from your channel, is that you are capable of and have done amazing and long challenges, but that a lot of this is doable for so many of us, and we can enjoy it. And it's okay to walk!
Thank you for the video. I miss the mountains as I'm still in rehabbing from my current situation. I jogged my first 50 yards today 21 days after my last percedure. Keep up the great work. You keep it real for us normal runners.
The PCT section I ran on Saturday was just sound of the section I ran northbound in 2019: th-cam.com/video/xSvpqOarCoc/w-d-xo.html The PCT is really pretty.
You always mention your yoga zoom call. Could you provide some information on that? Who it’s through, can others join? Also, I really appreciate your channel and enjoy hearing about the ultra life from us “non-elites” out there. Thanks for all you do!
Hi Chris, I'll include this in the next VLOG episode, but here's the link for you sooner. The Yoga class I take was started during lockdown by Wy'East Wolfpack, and I have really enjoyed it. Their group fitness classes which includes Yoga is linked here: www.wyeastwolfpack.com/training/group-fitness-2/online-group-fitness
Hi Wes, What's your thoughts on water crossings? Seems like folks do several different options. In my last race I was 43 miles in and didn't want to mess with my socks and the tape on my blisters. Some folks wade barefoot, some bring extra socks. Most just wade through. What do you do? Thanks Wes!
I've been listening since the beginning, in the pre-podcast radio days! Last month I was in the Lowe's parking lot and another customer who was parked beside me noticed my 10 sticker and said hi. I love that you're a 10 too!
Have you ever rolled your ankle? I just did training for my first 50k. I'm 3 weeks out and it will take 2 weeks to heal the Dr said. I'm going to wear a brace and still do it.
Thanks for the question for next week's video! I have rolled my ankle, but maybe not as bad as yours. I think it gets better over time. I used to roll ankles a lot more when I was starting, but I do it less now. I sometimes catch myself before rolling over, I guess I have some ankle strength or something to help avoid the roll. Ice and elevate it while you still move around, and then you'll be good. I forgot to mention in my video reply, but I have also had good success with KT Tape helping to rehab ankle unhappiness and add stability!
Thanks for the question for the next episode. 🙌🏼 What you saw is a Garmin inReach Mini. The first version. Version 2 is said to have better battery life. Here's an affiliate link to it on Amazon: amzn.to/4ffN5oF

It requires hard work, but yes!

Saturday's long run looked stunning! My kinds of running!!!
There's so much running in the Cascade Mountains that you would LOVE.
Love all the stuff you're doing Wes!
Thank you Jonathan. I really appreciate your encouragement.
Awesome! Thank you for the travel and route tips!

That PCT 😍 I’m jealous of all your green!

On the long Saturday run you had a tracker on you pack - what kind is it?
Thanks for the question for the next episode. 🙌🏼
