Love the fact that most of them are full steel body, full interior, full exhaust. Some solid builds right there.
The VL will outlive us all, great to see such a heavy field of proper fast RB 30s

You could run a Briggs’N’stratton in a Vl and I will love ‘em. That’s how good they look
I would've fit in nicely with my 5 speed BT1, Volvo 740 intercooler, extra injector triggered by a Hobbs pressure switch, and 'adjustable boost' via ball cock valve and needle valve in the cabin. 😂 12.8 @ 108 in 2000 btw

Performance VLs in the 90s? So, a stock motor with a T4 on it? No boost until 4500 rpm?
Late 90s. Were plenty in the 9s. A few in the 8s.

How ridiculously consistent do these old (albeit completely rebuilt) cars go down the quarter. Not one even blew excess smoke out the exhaust and they're all tearing down there faster than pretty well anything you can buy off the shelf. Just insane.

There was an imposter class which is common at these types of events.

I think it’s great getting other cars there so it pushes the owners to wind the cars up and get the fastest passes

Holden was a subsidiary of General Motors, so it was known as GMH.
Thats where it's good looks come from, a VERY popular car here.
