Despite the memes and all, that was such a smooth landing. Excellent trip report. It is sad that airports that used to be so full of travellers are now so empty for now. Can't wait to travel again for leisure once all this is over.

2:18 usually that departure board is completely full. Unfortunately some airports don’t even have any flights and are closed on certain days because of the lack of flights. You wonder how and when this is ever going to end! ✈️
Yep, that's exactly what I try to show on this video. I've never seen something like this... in the waiting area is usually hard to find a place to seat down...
A really good video, it shows everything about flying. I always love to see how flexible the wings are, steel bars that can flex! And brilliant information too on the various planes at the gates.

Yes, they are building the new Terminal 3 with the new concourses G, H and J with concourse G being exclusively for Leisure and Low-Cost airlines. Its a huge terminal, almost a big as the BER airport and it is set to be finished in 2026 although concourse G has already been finished. There are some cool animations on what it will look like here on TH-cam.

Loved the shot from the jet bridge rolling to the plane (at Frankfurt). This video has the first time I saw the 737's own and foldable stairs, close and clear, and in use for passengers (at London).
GREAT STN views👍 I flew the same aircraft in February 2020 from STN to TLS😜 Ryanair, Ryanair UK, Malta Air...all the same from my point of view! 95% grounded in 12/2020, that means over 300 planes! 😱😭 I think (and hope!) it will be better soon...the perspective is not too bad✌️
Yeah, and it's even worse than what you may think, because it's not only that 300 planes are grounded. Those that fly, are just making 1 flight per day in best cases... many times not even 1 flight per day for those flights that are not grounded... =(

Justamente eramos uno de los primeros vuelos en aterrizar despues de que el aeropuerto Reina Sofia estuviera cerrado dos dias por una calima muy potente, es mas en el aterrizaje veias como la arena manchaba todo el ala en cuestion de segundos.

Reduce tanto la visibilidad como la niebla, pero con el agravante de que la niebla no supone un peligro mecánico para los aviones aparcados en tierra. La calima, con todo el polvo en suspensión que lleva, hace que los aviones que quedan en tierra deban resguardar montones de elementos y los motores. Saludos

It’s weird seeing Stansted that empty :( before Covid you could barely find a place to sit in the main waiting area. But one thing caught my eye at 2:46. Since when does RYR offer IFE with flight tracking and games included? 😅

I really don't know, Josh. That was the first time I've seen it and I couldn't stop to much to gather more info because I was going to board. I checke on my flight if there was anything and no, there was no WiFi for inflight entertainment. Maybe it's something that they are starting to install on the planes :)

That's normal on the ground. Vibrations coming from the taxi are difficult to counteract. They are extremely visible on the camera, although you might even not feel them yourself :)

Although what many people think (erroneously of course) Ryanair pilots perform the exact landing technique as described by Boeing. The criteria for a good landing is far from being soft; in fact, Boeing states that the touchdown must be firm and in the touchdown zone of the runway. A soft landing is only an option if you have a 3-4 km runway, which is not the case in many Ryanair destinations.
In some airports, especially in Spain, is quite common. In Madrid and Barcelona, for example, they always use jetway. Also in Palma de Mallorca is quite common.
Ryanair landings follow the exact procedure that Boeing states is the correct one. Butter landings are far from being the desired type of landings. If the runway is 3-4 km in length, yes, it's an option. But the majority of the airports where Ryanair operates don't have such runways, so the priority is to land the plane at the touchdown zone and brake the plane.

Tbh I low key feel like ryanair is a great airline, I've flow multiple times with them and had not a bad experience. Its mainly Americans who make these memes but they don't know how bad spirit is themselves

That wasn’t a bad landing
Although what many people think (erroneously of course) Ryanair pilots perform the exact landing technique as described by Boeing. The criteria for a good landing is far from being soft; in fact, Boeing states that the touchdown must be firm and in the touchdown zone of the runway. A soft landing is only an option if you have a 3-4 km runway, which is not the case in many Ryanair destinations.

Surprised a jetty was attached at Frankfurt Ryanair doesn't usually go for that.
In some airports, especially in Spain, is quite common. In Madrid and Barcelona, for example, they always use jetway. Also in Palma de Mallorca is quite common.
@@OnBoardHD But at Frankfurt your far more likely to end up on a remote stand even on a posh airline carrier.

Mmm They accepted pounds when it was possible to pay by cash. That's for sure. I dont know how it works now...

Ryanair landings follow the exact procedure that Boeing states is the correct one. Butter landings are far from being the desired type of landings. If the runway is 3-4 km in length, yes, it's an option. But the majority of the airports where Ryanair operates don't have such runways, so the priority is to land the plane at the touchdown zone and brake the plane.
Facts and intelligence confuse the hard landing and no reverse thrust trolls.

23,000 feet? Why so low of a cruise?
Well, the distance between London and Frankfurt is quite short. Now add that during the fist 100 miles the plane can't reach the final cruise altitude because of the altitude restrictions in the London airspace and I guess you'll get the answer. :)
I’m thinking of maybe flying Ryanair or EasyJet when I go on my Europe trip. Which is better? I’ve read that for Ryanair, non-Europeans need to get a stamp on their boarding pass from the check-in counter or otherwise they will be denied boarding. Is this true?
I've never had a single problem flying with Ryanair in my more than 400 flights with them, and I've never heard about such stamp... Don't believe those things...

My husband is Brazilian and he always had to get a stamp on his boarding pass with Ryanair.
Tbh I low key feel like ryanair is a great airline, I've flow multiple times with them and had not a bad experience. Its mainly Americans who make these memes but they don't know how bad spirit is themselves

No reason to not like Ryanair... no flights more than 4 hours ! If you can't be happy friendly and organised yourself be responsible and respectful for that short time then you need to have a good look at yourself 🤔🇮🇪👍
