Alright, it's time to see how the Cricut can help us tackle the task of the BEST way to layer glitter HTV - heat transfer vinyl. If you saw my tutorial of creating the Dallas Cowboys file yesterday, I demonstrated the process of creating the layers in Leonardo Design Studio. Well, let's see how we can take that up a notch in Cricut Design Space.
It is not good to layer glitter vinyl on top of glitter vinyl; because it washes away much faster. It may work and look beautiful, but over time, the layers will start to peel. In this tutorial, I am demonstrating how to create the layers, so you can get the most wear out of your shirt or other garment.

HI Delonda, I know you say you are a newbie, but I really marvel at how you are able to learn so much about what you are teaching us. I guess the operative word hear is TEACH. Some people layer glitter htv on top of glitter htv and I don't do that.

Delonda I thought I was ready for this project and I was super excited - I did everything right until it came time to weed - that is where it fell apart for me😢. Trying to figure out which cuts to weed for each layer was way too much for me - back to the drawing board😂

It is so much easier on Siser Romeo and you can export the SVG from that software to Cricut Design Space.

Hi, you take a lot of steps with the layers that I’m wondering could be eliminated with simply deleting or blocking the layers you don’t want to use. I hope this question makes sense.

Love this and will be doing this now! I’m curious how much you would charge for this? I usually do DTF for my shirts. I’m starting to lean towards this kind of vinyl though because I love the glitter! Way more time consuming though. I would love to hear about how much to charge!

I don't sell shirts; however if I did, the starting price would depend on how many layers (colors) of vinyl was required.

Hello, please help. I’m trying to design a corset for my daughter. When I press it’s really not sticking not the complete letter. I’m kinda new to cricut so do I not follow the temp and time on the vinyl in this case? What am I doing wrong ?

Yes! I sent layers to someone. Just put parchment paper between the layers.

Not long at all, but that also depends on the brand of glitter htv you are using.

Hi Delonda can you please tell me how to put htv glitter vinyl with hotfix rhinestones without using htv anything, it is far to much expense to have it shipped to the UK
Ooooh, that sounds very fancy. I haven't tried htv anything and I am certainly a bling beginner.
I wanted to do the glitter htv and rhinestone tumbler but the shipping was going to cost over $40 because I'm in the UK and they say there is nothing else I can get instead of htv anything bit if you think of a different way that I could try please let me know

Just out of curiosity, do you ever save the extra vinyl? Like cutting the inside of the white layer of GO, so the extra vinyl/transfer sheet can be used for smaller projects or wording. I get caught up in trying to save any nice size pieces versus throwing them out. I file them with name and type of vinyl. Of course it can be time consuming. Do you think it's worth the time?
It probably is worth the time and you could probably end up with 2 completed projects instead of one, but I usually don't save it....especially if the vinyl is thin.
Do you have a simpler version?
This is very complex. It is much easier in Leonardo Design Studio. I did it using my Siser Romeo.
