They look so tired. The reason? They drove there from Boston overnight. They stayed and met with every single person who turned up to their Boston gig. Hats off!
The Milk Carton Kids were my first concert. Best night of my life.
That's a great start to concert going! I was able to take all of my children to see Nathaniel Rateliff two summers back for their first concert. I can't wait to take them to see these guys.

The Only Ones is a great album. Love "I'll Be Gone" and "I Was Alive" in particular. I very much enjoyed this set, wish I could see them live again soon!

Loved this so much! Although it would've been really nice to hear Kenneth's classic rock influence...Jimi Hendrix? LOL
They could be “just” another folk band, but their cheeky, pre-performance banter is what makes them really memorable.
And the impeccable guitar work and perfect harmonies. They aren't breaking any new ground but their musicianship is what sets them apart.

What's with the white rag off the guitar ? A color scarf one would work better ( IMO)
BaktaBak - Country, Rock & Oldies band My best guess is that given the lower tuning of the guitar that is then capo’d up around the 7th fret, the strings on the headstock side of the guitar could ring out slightly with some strange harmonics that could be picked up by the vocal mics. The rag dampens the strings and muffles out any noise. I agree, a nice handkerchief would look better.
@@paytonthompson Good explanation . Really like these guys. Very talented . See a lot of their shows......just that white (looks like a rag) ....find it distracting ! A colored cloth that matches whatever suite/ tie / outfit he wears to the gig would look very cool.

They named their group after milk cartons that showed kids that were kidnapped with their faces on milk cartons? Regardless of whatever creative spin there is to the name, it has a tinge of creepiness to it.
But John .? Take time out ..the creepiness is in your own thoughts ? Was their any real harm meant in their naming their name ...take time out to sort your thoughts out...all the best now.
john farmer The kids on cartons were missing, not necessarily kidnapped. I think in this setting they’re using the idea that perhaps they had run away. I feel that’s a relatively common feeling in folk.
There was a song on their first album called "Milk Carton Kid" which used the concept of missing children on milk cartons as a comparison to feeling lonely and out of place (I think that's what the song is about, anyway). So really the name comes from the song. Whether that makes it more or less creepy is up to you I suppose.
Yes, it is an odd name. For me , I got over the tinge of creepiness when I thought that those kids on the cartons are lost & lonely. And it can so easily happen to any adolescent, even an adolescent we know, maybe a son or daughter. It reminded me to remember these kids odten made invisible and keep aneye out for them. They're not just faces on the cartons.
I love you Milk Carton Kids! Imaginative Lyrical Humanity, Guitar playing of Angels, Melody that pierces the heart. Fun banter that displays your love for each other and the music. So grateful you popped up in my TH-cam feed!
