These treasures were collected over centuries. I don't hear anyone else wanted to plunder other museums? If it wasn't for the Church collecting and storing this history no one would have, and they would ne lost forever.

I personally think the historical evidence for Jesus Christ is slim as it is for many messiahs of different faiths. Remember Islam has its Messiah, and so does Judaism. Each thinks their Messiah is the true one, and each thinks that their Messiah walked the Earth, and that many followers gave their lives for such a personage. I am happy for you if that gives you meaning in your life. I have read the books of Gerald Massey, and find the evidence overwhelming that the roots of Christianity are in Egyptian astromythology.

      @margiecook6879 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@winstonchurchill571 You really need to do a lot of digging, and some actual research. Rather than childishly resorting to insulting a complete stranger online. You don't know me, and you certainly don't know anything about me. The absolute last thing I do, by any stretch of the imagination, is live in a fantasy world. I'm simply just too old and have no time, tolerance, or patients for nonsense. You leaving that comment, only proves the level of your ignorance on the matter, and unwillingness to learn.
People generally start throwing around insults at one another, when they simply don't have an intelligent arguement, and they don't have anything intelligent to say, to add to the conversation. Rather than giving an informed, adult caliber rebuttal, you just throw around insults. I feel like I'm speaking to a twelve year old here.
What self respecting adult does that? You will never see an intelligent adult conducting themselves in such a manner.
However, I can clearly see, that even though you are not at all well informed on this matter, you're not going to listen to anyone, and you are not going look into anything, for yourself anyway.
It's painfully obvious to me, that you think that you're far too smart, and know everything there is to know already. That's called delusions of grandeur, my dear. I'm very sorry to have to inform you, that you're sadly mistaken. It's simply just not the case.
I don't care how old you get, or just how smart that you think that you may be. You're never too smart, or too old, to learn something new.
I'll be 60 pretty soon, and I learn new things almost on the daily. You will never gain any wisdom, knowledge, maturity, or respect from others, by insulting the people that you don't agree with. Not to mention, people that you know nothing about, for that matter.
So, your solution is to just sit there, hiding behind a screen, and a keyboard, insulting complete strangers online, most likely, in your mothers basement. My best guess, is that you wouldn't have the guts to say that to me in person. You've got a severe case of keyboard courage, I suppose. It's easy to say whatever you want, to folks online. You are such a coward, that you don't even use your real name, or likeness on your profile.
Your behavior is childish, uncalled for, and is not a good look for anyone to sport.
If you had been civil to me, in the beginning, I would have gladly given you links, and some obviously, badly needed guidance, on what I am referring to, how I've come to this conclusion, and where to find the information for yourself.
However, I do not feel obligated, or inclined to help anyone, that implies that I am delusional, without knowing the first thing about me. When you insult someone else's mental capacity, it actually speaks more about your own personal lack of mental capacity, and unwillingness to learn. You would almost have to be lacking yourself, in some capacity, to think that your actions were okay. Your comment just reeks of immaturity, and ignorance on your part. There just isn't any need for all of that. Quite frankly, it's pretty disgusting, and appalling behavior. I would be ashamed of myself, if I were you. Please try to do better in the future, and please, grow up. It is in your best interest to do so, moving forward. I don't know of anyone that ever looked more intelligent, by insulting, and tearing others down, just for the sake of doing it. It only makes you look weak, ignorant, and unteachable.
Try to do better, and maybe go touch some grass. I feel like it would do you some real good. It definitely wouldn't hurt you.

This isn't an Egyptian museum, why have all those Egyptian things? Especially gods and idols? I left the Catholic Church officially last year and my soul feels at peace.

It's interesting to read the comments where people question why the Vatican has these treasures.
We need to remember, the Church is 2000 years old and the world, the old continent is based on it.
The Renaissance period which began in Italy influenced Europe and was based on the churches views.
ROME was the most successful Empire in the world, lasting 900 years of rule and its not surprising that these amazing treasures eventually ended up in the oldest institution in the Western world.
The church is simply displaying history through its museum.
