Re: Hunting gems, specifically for the sniper rifle the hunting nerds are finding that crit chance has no effect (headshots are auto crit), and attack speed only effects reload time very slightly. Hunting mastery does effect the amount of regular items you harvest, like meats, so a full set of mastery gems might be the way to go for the snipers out there!

Great vid but I don't know if gathering is really worth getting in the current meta. 1600 mastery for 360m/hr compared to up to 2b+/hr sniper hunting at 2k mastery. Even if gathering mastery scales better than hunting, hunting is just leagues above everything else, even grinding. I'm referencing 360m/hr for gathering because it's impossible to gather for multiple hours per day without using pots on cooldown. Also another reason why gathering mastery crystals aren't that recommended is because they have the tool slot to provide extra mastery. Cooking and Hunting don't get any extra mastery from the tool slot, so to get 2k mastery without crystals would require PEN Manos which is an unrealistic and unnecessary goal (PEN Manos accessories cost about 600b each on average, so GL getting one via CM/Enhancing).

Now because of how good sniper hunting was and still is, everyone's been doing it to the point that prices crashed to what they are today. Also the profit margin of making crystals has shrunk over time compared to when they first came out and no one had any.
You mean gear progression? The crystals are rather expensive at 500 mil per. They become good upgrades somewhere between tri and tet manos gear I'd say.

Well i spent one hour rerolling workers testing the fact that you can extract forest crystal a couple minutes faster from the port and not the village So far no rng luck tho

Not that I know. Make sure you have the forest crystal In your inventory and all quests enabled at the bottom of your quests tab

Mastery crystals are huge for cooking. I would only go for EXP if you don't need the extra money at all.

they need to increase the crystal slots. its rn impossible to get more than 2 sets done without sacrificing pve/pvp crystal setups

Good points. I put gathering above hunting based on my preferences. But overall, hunting seems way stronger.

A week ago I could make the crystals now the guy has no quests for me
