My heart aches for these innocent people of myanmar, i've a friend from myanmar but she lives in urban area and updates us about the on going situation ,they are almost isolated in their own houses and these peaceful community of rural myanmar turned into rebellions are truly badass even though they know they are in small numbers but still standing and keeping their heads high against the wicked military coup , my deepest sympathy and total respect for these brave souls i hope they win over the evil military anytime soon and be able to restore peace in their country once again ..may god watch over them 🙏 sending love from singapore ❤️
One of my really good friends I grew up with came to America as a foreign exchange student from Burma He helped teach me muay thai and also worked next to me on the farms in our area. He would work so hard to send money home to his family . My heart breaks too see his home country and people hurt the way they are.
The Western countries should have helped Myanmar a long, long time ago. With the same arms that are being supplied to Ukraine. All free world countries deserve the same. Not one over the other. This battle in Myanmar for more than 7 generations (from the time of Burma after World War II) did people out there know this. To me this is a damn shame. I have great respect for the Myanmar people who fight back against the blood-thirsty junta regime. What they didn't tell you in the documentary is that throughout many wars the Chin ethnic were the career soldiers who was loyal and fought gallantly for the central government since the British colonial rule. Being born with the talents in hunting and fighting, they are well-known and well-respected warriors in Burma. Now they have a big score to settle with the junta military. A wounded tiger is a lot more dangerous than a normal one. Moreover this tiger has a gift in hunting.

I lived and worked in myanmar for more than a year.I have got many burmese friends,hope all of them are fine nowadays.I was there when the pro democracy government won the election last 2014 or 2015,and people were very happy,i felt the happiness of the people.Hope so the people will get the freedom soon.

Speaking of ethnic and religious tragedies Burma/Myanmar facing today, the fact that the world's longest Civil War which is in Myanmar, mainly between Buddhist Burmese and Christian ethnic people was made it possible, prolonged and supported by Anglo Western bloc of USA, UK & Australia, etc while they are using next-door neighbor Thailand (which has a defense treaty with them) as a base camp since in the 1950. In my humble opinion, ethnic refugees & others fleeing the conflict/war in Myanmar are entitled to cross over to Thailand to stay, as well as eligibility to relocate to new places such as the USA, Australia, New Zealand.

The Indian government should seriously start doing peacekeeping missions in Burma, as many retired army officers have suggested. It will be a unifying element for India, and specifically the North East.

The refugees are now living in conditions that are like those back in the middle ages, when meat was scarce and news and other knowledge only came from the priests and other clerics. Therefore, I do not appreciate your sarcastic remark that I should go and fight the Tatmadaw alongside my brothers. I am not a coward or a traitor, but a loyal citizen of India who loves my country and respects its constitution. I am also a compassionate human being who cares about the suffering of my fellow Zo Hnahthlak people in Myanmar and Bangladesh. I do not need to move to Myanmar to show my solidarity with them, as we are already connected by blood, history and destiny. I also do not need your permission or approval to express my opinions or emotions, as I have the right to freedom of speech and expression in India. I hope you can respect that, and not insult or provoke me with your hateful comments.
What they didn't tell you in the documentary is that throughout many wars the Chin ethnic were the career soldiers who was loyal and fought gallantly for the central government since the British colonial rule. Being born with the talents in hunting and fighting, they are well-known and well-respected warriors in Burma. Now they have a big score to settle with the junta military. A wounded tiger is a lot more dangerous than a normal one. Moreover this tiger has a gift in hunting.
Since the military coup in 1962 the Myanmar military has been against its population.
Anyone joining that military after that date should be ashamed!
@@kamma44 before working abroad trend, there wasn't much to do for a living in their home mountains. So being a soldier could guarantee them stable income, dwelling and education for children. Even in 1988 uprising, some Chin troops were used to crackdown the protestors in big cities.

The border we have right is just a line drawn on the map. The Chin-Kuki-Zo people are indigenous to these lands. They speak the same language, same culture, same history and same religion. India shouldn't have forced the Northeast to join the Indian Union. They should have their own separate country.
The kuki chinin myanmar cannot tolerate injustice too.

Speaking of ethnic and religious tragedies Burma/Myanmar facing today, the fact that the world's longest Civil War which is in Myanmar, mainly between Buddhist Burmese and Christian ethnic people was made it possible, prolonged and supported by Anglo Western bloc of USA, UK & Australia, etc while they are using next-door neighbor Thailand (which has a defense treaty with them) as a base camp since in the 1950.
In my humble opinion, ethnic refugees & others fleeing the conflict/war in Myanmar are entitled to cross over to Thailand to stay, as well as eligibility to relocate to new places such as the USA, Australia, New Zealand.

The Indian government should seriously start doing peacekeeping missions in Burma, as many retired army officers have suggested. It will be a unifying element for India, and specifically the North East.

India also has a strategic interest in ensuring that Myanmar does not become a pawn of China, which is trying to expand its influence and presence in the region.
Therefore, I think that India should seriously consider doing peacekeeping missions in Myanmar, as many retired army officers have suggested. It will not only be a humanitarian gesture, but also a wise move to safeguard India's own security and interests in the region to stop mass illegal immigration in the country.

The refugees are now living in conditions that are like those back in the middle ages, when meat was scarce and news and other knowledge only came from the priests and other clerics.
