    My last visit to Gillette castle was back in 1988, it was a quick visit. 30 years + later , I learn more about gadgets and fun design of this place. Thanks for making this video.

    It's fun to see the pocket doors and the other features you don't see in the tours. Years ago during guided tours they explained features like the locked bar and mirrors which you don't always learn about these days.

      They are pretty fun! Generally, we try to show as much as we can during the tours. As they run self-paced, a lot of the talks are subject to the crowds. Unfortunately, there are times where certain features are excluded for the sake of moving people through. On the opposite side of the spectrum, if it is slow and quiet at the castle, you can get the full show. Personally, as someone who has given tours of the castle for the last several years, I've been able to do most of the spiel in the video a decent percentage of the time.
