The castle’s steel was supplied by The Standard Structural Steel Company out of Hartford. He was a descendent of Jonathan Gillett, who sailed to Massachusetts and settled in Connecticut in the 1630’s.
There is a catalog. Gillette had almost 1,200 books in his collection. On a cursory search, the titles I came up with are the Science of Mechanics and the Mechanics and Engineers Pock -Book of Tables, Rules and Formulas Pertaining to Mechanics, Mathematics and Physics.
