bro the "I could see myself as a high schooler going into a dicks sporting goods, seeing a Nike squat rack, and saying 'yeah, I don't want that one I want a Rogue one'" killed me lol
"Nike, just don't do it." Gotta love the honesty there Coop. I was thinking it wasn't worth it either. I don't care who makes a rack as long as it's sturdy, affordable and allows for some customization.
You could also just buy some Nike stickers and put them all over your gym if you like the aesthetic of the brand logos that much. It’s pretty simple for me. If you live in America and are gonna spend rogue prices you buy rogue. That’s it. You go elsewhere only to save money or support local businesses.
This is why I watch this channel, truly independent and willing to say the tough truth. Risking having Nike not sending them free product, and they don’t care. “Just Don’t Do It” Love it.
Why are we praising thie channel for the 'tough 'truth'? EVERYBODY can see this rack is overpriced... and what a risk to take.. "Nike not sending them free products".. WOW.. such risktakers.. :D
I would just buy Nike stickers and put them on a titan or rogue rack if I liked the swoosh that much.not sure why you would spend rogue money and not get rogue though.
The only advantage I can see is the fact that you could buy this in the store if that matters to you. Outside of that there is zero innovation, just the same old thing that has been done by several other companies. The squat rack market is pretty darn saturated right now.
You're kidding yourself if you think Nike just licensed their name... while it's a seperate, corporate, entitiy, they are clearly an active part of this new organization. It is Nike.
How is that the takeaway? WIsh equipment doesn't use robotic welding and laser cutting. It's more like a runway fashion version of strength equipment. All look less functional.
Rather, get the titan because that extra money I can get the monolift or a nice set of spotter arms. Or some sort of attachment. They lost me at no westside spacing
Regarding the shipping. I have the bolt together version of the rogue r3. I don’t remember how much shipping was but it came on a double length pallet and I had to be there to accept delivery. It’s still a lot of long heavy components even if it isn’t welded together. So it’s not like they ship every upright in a separate box via ground. And if they did it would probably be more expensive to do that vs freight. So yeah, not sure what people are expecting when it comes to shipping gym equipment this large. It’s not gonna be cheap.
They might be able to buy some market share in school and CrossFit settings, but I really don’t see them making a mark in the home gym community. They’re years behind in innovation and are charging a premium for inferior product. They would be better off just buying an existing fitness company like Rep or Titan (which they’re plenty big enough to do) and rebranding their existing product line.
They can’t do that because those companies are successful for being cheaper than rogue. Nike would have to jack the price up and they aren’t gonna beat rogue in that game. They are too far ahead as the made in USA top dog. Nike has to innovate. Not rebrand something rogue did decades ago.
Can you please review stretching equipment? Once saw this amazing hamstring/hip flexor machine from five (German company) and never seen stuff like that on TH-cam.
Don't know where to ask, however, maybe here on your latest video is the best place. Do you have any advice for underground garages? I'm worried about ventilation and carbon monoxide in a potential gym. The garage is underneath the apartment complex, and although each unit is it's own closed off thing, I'm not sure how to go about testing if it's safe to be working out in there, nor what measures I can take to potentially keep the air fresh If it helps, I'll likely be sectioning off the workout area in it's own room. It'll be pretty small, the garage is single width, but can just about fit two large cars length wise, with enough room for a rack and another bigger piece next to it. The plan is to have one big, or two small cars, and section off the area with a large storage unit and a door. My family makes furniture, and we;ll likely make a cabinet that's as high as the ceiling. It's been hard researching how well ventilated underground garages are, and it's a shame I may have to give up on doing it if it turns out to be too much to manage, especially after budgeting out most of the stuff
Nice review! Definitely will be purchasing a rogue squat rack vs Nike due to brand name inflation. Side note what kind of lighting are you using. Those things look like lightsabers lol
With the amount of companies doing a lot with their racks, Nike is relaying on a Nike swoosh rather making a great product. You can also have someone print a Nike logo

Honestly, when I looked closer at them, they just look like rebranded rogue monster lite racks... but imported. There is a couple of differences... but not much.
Make a stencil of a Nike logo and then add your own "Swoosh" if such things are important to you. People who buy this to make a statement about themselves, really are making a statement about themselves - and it's not a positive statement. 🤪
Just bought an Ethos (Dicks house brand) rack fer 600 on sale. Same size, 1" holes, a multi grip pull up bar, spotter arms... Tell me again y I'd but this "budget" rack at baller prices
@fleamcbaggins3087 I have the same rack. All the attachments I have for it are rogue and titan series. The little holes at the very bottom and on the top. on the cross members I drilled out to 1" holes. I have 1" aluminum band pegs. From rogue. I also have it bolted down. I'm a 405 squatter, and it doesn't move when racking. Great rack for the price. It will last forever
Right and their athletes. It's cheaper to send them things they make or buy in bulk and then the athletes are always using merchandise. If I'm not mistaken there are a lot of basketball players that are sponsored by Nike.

I feel like gyms/health clubs are more the target audience for nike strength than home gym-ers. Easy way for gyms to feel more upmarket to spend a few hundred dollars extra on Nike equipment, and they can make that money back on selling more memberships to people who think "oooh I know that logo, must be expensive"
@@albertfischer8804 A real "gym gym" sure but I think there are a lot of "lifestyle gyms" you got your personal trainer, everything looks fancy, a wide selection of smoothies, not too much sweat. That's the kind of gym that fits this rack.

@samwillis1479 oh! Well, that doesn't sound good. I guess when it comes to stuff like this it better to just bite the bullet and invest in better equipment then? I think that makes sense
Whether or not this is actually third party licensing and not N¡ke is irrelevant. If it gets more people to use barbells and get stronger than so be it, Swoosh and all.

This thing should be max like $650. I haven't seen stickers or 5/8 without westside spacing in a while.
My Titan T3 even has Westside spacing and it was like half the cost.
its crazy how much people pay for branding

That's good for the consumer. It should stabilize prices, at least in theory.
It’s probably worth noting that “Nike Strength” is not Nike. It’s a company that has licensed the Nike brand to use on strength training equipment.
You're kidding yourself if you think Nike just licensed their name... while it's a seperate, corporate, entitiy, they are clearly an active part of this new organization. It is Nike.
Reebok/Adidas licensed it out to some white label UK company where clearly no one had ever squatted under a barbell.
