Ive always loved the c6s ability to make the needles on the tach and speedo match in 2nd gear. Gotta remember wide tires dont yield you better traction too! They help with cornering grip yes, but from a dig huge wide tires wont get you very good traction. P.S. (im stupid i should have said this differently) And i agree with the grabbin gears gone in sixty seconds style. She sounds great man.
not sure where you heard that wider tires don’t equal more traction. you’re definitely wrong though. there’s a reason drag cars have fat rear tires and skinny fronts
From my experiences with different size tires, wider tires always helped me with traction. Not saying it’s the only way but definitely does help.
@@carbonr6r410 Im not trying to start crap im actually somewhat knowledgeable with cars but i should have reworded my comment now that i reread it, a lot comes into play like wheel size, tires, pressure etc too with tires and grip. I understand drag cars use a wide tire typically and im also aware of 10.5 cars that can pull the front tires off ground too. You dont always need huge width to achieve good grip. Especially on wet conditions or snow, wide tires arent the best choice.

@@tommys2979 it depends on what size wheels. On a 15 inch wheel definitely a lot easier to go taller. On 17s and 18s whatever I could fit really. Tire height does play a big role with traction, along with a ton of different things lol

Fun comparison. The tire compound makes all the difference. Especially when making big power in a street car. Use a drag radial and traction will improve drastically over a wider summer tire.
I run NT555R2’s with 640/568 at the tires on stock C5 wheels and spin less than you do.
Things do happen 🫣😂 but sleepers are the best 👌🏼

Turn the TCS Off, KEEP the Active Handling ON. Vettes have had variations of how to activate them since the C5, I don’t remember exactly how to do it on the C6.
There is absolutely no reason to have Active Handling off, unless you're deliberately doing donuts.

After driving it for a while now. I’m leaning towards it being off 😂
The tractioncontrol system on the c6 is a joke compared to even a simple aftermarket ecu can do. My 600whp c6z06 will spin 2nd and part of 3rd gear with the TC on. A proper race ecu tractioncontrol would make these cars a lot faster and still give full control and adjustable slip.
Yeah absolutely can’t compare an aftermarket system to something designed in 2007 from the factory lol. But does decent for this setup.
@@boostedproject well my 2007 bmw has a good tractioncontrol system but the GM engineers must have Just not cared :D ive never driven any modern car with this bad tc. :D
