Thanks Theo and Grady for another awesome showcase. I got hold of one of these and interestingly the leaflet inside perhaps shows that at one point a second stall with a different sculpt and mostly cream canopy was intended to be included alongside... I hope wizkids aren't getting cheap on us :P

Side note: Theo, while most people commonly refer to the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden as having been an apple, some ancient texts suggest that it may have been a quince. The word also featured prominently in Rosie Perez's classic "Jeopardy!" scene in the film "White Men Can't Jump." :)

This looks like one of the most useful terrains. I might actually pick it up. Love the fountain, and the crates can be used anywhere.
A quince is sorta like a pear? It’s a food that starts with the letter Q which was a category on Jeopardy in the movie, White Men Can’t Jump lol
Great sets I love how alive it makes cities.
A bit of a shame about not including the bases, and it could've used one or two more townsfolk I think, but I'm still really liking this set. There's always room for a chase through a crowded marketplace, and this set helps fill that out a bit.
Now excuse me while I roll up a Four Elements monk to smash that poor merchant's cart full of cabbages...

I'm pretty sure a quince is like a pear Theo, though I could be mistaken. Awesome video as always, thanks for the review!
Quince (singular and plural, rhymes with "mince") are distant relatives of both pears and apples, with a flavor very similar to the former but a very different texture. They're often planted as decorative trees (because the flowers are really pretty) but you need to live in a fairly warm climate for the fruit to ripen enough to eat before they rot.
It's native to Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, and the Caucuses, and the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil in the Garden of Eden was depicted as a quince for a very long time, until apples overtook quince in popularity.

Very cool , l like this alot , my daughter and l crafted a marketplace, ( high 5 to Wyloch and Black magic craft) , we would like to see the kitchen , we may buy that and take a break from crafting. BTW

I hope they make more D&D adventure system boardgames
While most of this stuff is nice, I wonder what a guilottine and gallows are doing on the marketplace :D I feel that'd go better for some castle courtyard/torture chamber set. Anyway not a bad set. Interesting that the gallows even has a moving trapdoor - not many minis with moving parts exist. The crates look good and the toppers are a nice idea, but I expected them to be less monochrome and better painted.
Set looks nice, but seems a little gruesome. Why so many punishment devices. I love the merchant stand and accessories. Is there any chance these will be sold separately?

Hi there. This is definitely a good set and not too many of those pieces can be found from other companies. I was wondering if you think you will get the Yawning Portal tavern to demo in the near futur. Considering the price tag, do you think Wizkids will send you one?

Nice set! But I think it's too bad that half the set is basically law enforcement items. Sure, you'd sett them in a town square, but what town square with a gallows and guillotine, and only a single market stall ..? And I certainly don't want to buy multiple gallows and guillotines just to get more market stalls and crates ... I do hope they take this set and make two smaller sets out of each half. Because the items in there are great - it's just that the combination seems like it might not have been thought through.

I hope they never again include a piece of string like in the Torture Chamber set. My fingers are too thick to thread the string.
I don't need action features or spending almost an hour trying to assemble products advertised as ready to use.
I would rather it be more like the Market Square bell.

I have all the unpainted set for the Townsfolk and I like that this set helps with showing how like WizKids would paint some of the items I have. I feel like my bounty board actually looks a little bit better then theirs and I really didn't have strong feelings for it before. Overall I think this set has some really cool items, but I don't know about you but I have a TON of wells & gallows.
