Pretty good set! Really like a lot of the NPC minis here, and the stall and other accessories are very nice!
One thing I notice though, is that just about all the wooden items in this and the Marketplace set has been built from different types of wood. I know it's a minor thing, but I would've liked to see more uniformity in the colours of the planks. That way, the market stall from this set and the one from the Marketplace set would fit in better with each other. :)

I have the Townspeople & Accessories set and it has been sitting on a shelf since it came out. I took it out while watching this video and plan to finally start painting it...
It's a great set, but it's also a daunting number of figures to sit down and paint! -Theo
Love that Wiz Kids are coming out with all these sets, just wish they would not send out repeats of their miniatures and accessories. Need more city guards and soldiers. Would be great if they did a factions line like Harpers, Zhentarim, Red Wizards, Purple Dragons etc. etc. Thanks for all that you do.
I'm pretty sure they have a city guards pack coming out soon. Not sure if they are repeats though

Nice set here, though indeed odd why they included the same executioner. They could have maybe reposed the CAD file, to have him get ready to chop a head? Overall while the minis are very nice and extremely well painted and detailed - and varied, I love the diplomat and the tanner - I feel they look more like they belong in a medieval world, and less into a D&D fantasy. The friar especially stands out as being a catholic monk rather than some Faerun deity's cleric. Ah well, still nice stuff, but I feel the Waterdeep Dragon Heist merchants and guards will be enough for me.
The bases not being included is odd indeed... or why they even have the "skateboard" terrain that often looks off from the real terrain. I wonder how the complete change to transparent bases will affect these minis.
Great displaying again on the tiles and also with the other set. I didn't realize the unpainted set had everything and was 'cheaper', good options for people on a budget.
WarLock are killing it. Prices are still a little "meh", but I'm happy to see someone kick in Dwarven Forge's door and give them legitimate competition across the board - notably products which are subject to retailers pricing discounts/sales/etc.
Bases would be nice
I can see the appeal to these kinds of sets, but as a Mars owner I don’t see much use in it personally. I like the terrain sets because that is either impossible or takes forever on a Mars.

I have the unpainted set. Having said that, I have painted most of the items but not the minis.
The unpainted set looks pretty cool, I may wanna pick that one up. Idk about the prepainted though, seems a little less for the cost value

Nice add on to the other set, but honestly people minis are easy to get. I would have preferred it concentrate on the furniture needed for a marketplace. Some day I'll have to get all three of the sets (painted and unpainted) I guess. Or maybe individual pieces will go on sale? What do you think?
It’s possible to find individual pieces on online aftermarkets like eBay, Troll and Toad, Miniature Market, etc. but it’s usually the minis from the random booster boxes. For fixed packs like these the economics don’t usually work out for stores to break them out, but you may see individuals selling off pieces occasionally. -Grady

A nice set, although, I like the market set a little better. I used to be very pro-base, but I've been leaning toward no-base recently now that I have more terrain tiles. To me, no-base connects the minis to the terrain a little more in terms of a seamless look. Of course, my baseless minis have a much lower DEX. :)
Some cool minis there, but nothing that really pops
A good little bit of townsfolk but since I already got the unpainted version not really needing it.
Yeah, I already have all the monos and accessories, but I can see it being good for those who didnt want to paint
Oh totally agree it took me a while to find time to finish the unpainted townsqaure set, but loved the Smith forge
This set is great and all, BUT I have all of these in unpainted form and I like to paint. The benefit of this set is really only for those who don't feel like painting them. For me, I'd have to pass.

Makes zero sense why a second, identical executioner is included. Nor is it apparent why the torture assistant is included with merchants, and that it is the same mini as in the torture chamber set. It honestly feels like we're missing out on two better miniatures here.
The executions sadly were a form of entertainment, humans can be horrible. The executioner is also sold unpainted with a chopping block and basket with head, I painted it last year.
Personally I'm all about painting my own models, it just makes them more special to me, I have no problem with touching up prepaints though.
Would love to see the unpainted set!
Thanks Theo, I still think the kitchen set is going to be the WOW set, this one meh.
