Would love to see the creation process, how the raw materials are put together to get to the final product! Love that you are getting into the technical aspect of Fragrance making.❤
This series goes above and beyond!! I think many perfume lovers will enjoy and learn from these videos. Bravo Josephine! Personally, the part in this video where you talked about the recycled glass bottles really caught my attention. And I would love to learn more about how the perfume industry tackles "sustainability" when manufacturing. So excited for your new series, thank you!!
Thank you for the feedback 😊 I agree the sustainability aspect is very interesting. I was having a conversation the other day with a brand who mentioned that part of the reason why fragrances have become so expensive is because of the sustainability aspect. For example rather than shipping raw materials from the other part of the planet to manufacture them in Europe let’s say, new manufacturing plants are being built in those areas (often remote) where the ingredient is sourced
This is amazing and I love that you are doing a series on perfumes from start to finish how they're made! Thank you for this! I did not know I needed this video, or series, but I do!
Fascinating! I love learning about this process! I watched a documentary on how jasmine, oud, and sandalwood are extracted, and now I can truly appreciate what a treasure fragrance is. I love the care that goes into the vessels that house these fragrances. 💛
Can't believe there are tons of different brands getting their perfume bottles from one company! New trivia unlocked! Also, I'm so stoked with episode two :)
Wow, thank you very much for going the extra mile to give us a peek into the steps and processes that go into perfume-making. You have just raised the bar for other content creators. Glad to see how you are enjoying every moment of your learning, and you are bringing us along for the journey, albeit vicariously. I appreciate all that you do for your channel.
Thank you so much for this feedback 🙏🏼 I love learning new things in general and especially about perfume. It helps me better understand the industry and ultimately provide more value to you 😊
This was very cool. Here is a list of things I would love to see next! 1. The process of how perfume houses decide on who and how they source their materials - what meetings do they have? Is the perfumer directly involved with them? 2. The process of a perfumer agreeing or disagreeing to a brief given to them - what is their criteria they have? 3. Process of bottle design and niche brand creation 4. Luckyscent collaboration 5. Distilling process
This was SO cool!!! 🎉 ❤ 🎉 I absolutely love seeing the behind the scenes process of how an idea becomes a reality. I find it so interesting to see the varied stages of drafts and tossed ideas, eventually become a finished product in my home. I'm interested in all of it: bottle design ideas (colors, shapes), stages of scent creation, ideas for advertising and marketing, deciding who will be in the campaign; I love it all!! Thank you for sharing the journey. ❤
What a great idea for a series Josephine. Make it as long as you want. We will hang on your every word. Another idea for a series. What about you creating a perfume and you show us each step of the process. Would love that😃🇦🇺
Thanks for the first episode of this series… soooo interesting. Good to see that TH-camrs are not only talking about perfumes hauls, new release and declutterings; The perfume industry as a whole has to be better known…and we are discovering fascinating aspects thanks to you. Looking forward to the next video.
Absolutely fantastic behind the scenes access! I would like to know how the concentrations of the top, heart, and base notes are usually determined. If rose is in the top, heart, and base of a perfume, does it mean that somehow they create different size rose molecules that evaporate at different speeds or something else?
Oh, I will be here for Every. Single. Part. of this story. I am a person who loves seeing how things are made, from concept to the finished product, so a series like that about everything perfume related? Created by someone truly knowledgeable, based on facts and supported by comprehensive information, particularly visual material, which is what really brings it to life for me? In this dynamic and engaging docustyle? YES, PLEASE & THANK YOU! ❤😁
Thank-you! Such an interesting series. Seeing how thorough the process of creating perfume bottles is, it’s a pity to recycle them when you’re done and not able to refill them. Although I believe more companies are doing this, right?
Yes that’s right. More and more companies are doing this. There’s a new brand that’s going even further… using the bottles as art in a concept known as art cycling. Very cool. Will share more soon!
Excited and looking forward to the next episodes of this series!!! I love the behind the scenes and learn how things come to life!!! ❤❤❤ Thanks for the relevant content!! I'd love to see in the series how perfume is actually made today, e.g. do perfumiers still soak flowers in oil, or is it all chemically manufactured? Thanks Josephine!!!!! ❤
Fantastic! I can't wait to see what is coming next. I absolutely loved this, to be able to see how perfume is made and follow the process. I'm already looking forward to the next video. Well done! ❤
Thank you❣ I am truly impressed and very excited to see such kind of videos and find out more of the process of bottle design, decoration, and also about ingredients choice, ''juice'' creation. And would be also more than interested to hear some intervies with the perfumers 😍
Just subscribed! This series is so up my alley. I don’t have quite the extensive collection as some people, but Im super into learning more about the production of fragrances and everything that goes into the craft.
Love, love this series, so interesting! There's so much I'd like to know, I see in the comments that other people asked some questions I have as well. How is the process for a new perfume started? How is the kind of perfume chosen (floral, gourmand, aromatic etc)?
Thank you Josephine for this super fascinating video and once again very interesting new topic for a video series 😍 I would like to know how the exact juice is done (probably that would be one of the topics anyway in this series).
This is absolutely amazing, I do hope you manage to make many more of this videos as they're really difficult to find in general and are also super interesting! I'd love to see some destillation process for example, or how are synthetic molecules really produced.
Fascinating. Glass manufacturing is magic. I’m looking forward to more of this series. I’d love to see some of the extraction and harvesting of natural ingredients.
Super interesting! Already loving this series. I would like to know how the olfactive pirámide of a perfume is made (I mean, how mixing essential oils makes some of the notes to be heart or base notes?)
Definitely going to enjoy and learn more from this new series. Thanks for making even more passionate our fragrance experience. You are great Josephine. Continue providing us with top self content. I for sure appreciate & enjoy it immensely!!! Sending positive vibes, your friend in Plano,Texas 😊
Thank you for this, looking forward to the next! As a guy, these could easily be 15-20 min vids and we will watch. A channel called Gamers Nexus has factory tours in Taiwan on how PC components are made. Those are among their moist watched.
This. Was. Fan. Tastic! ❤ So happy someone in the comm finally did a vid on the process! Loved the concision! Out of curiosity, what was that device that was plugged into your ears? 🤔 Customizable noise canceller?
Thanks so much for this peak under the bonnet ! love all you videos and i seek out the scents you review in dept stores and perfumeries .Scent blending is such delicate, sensitive art. it feels like colour mixing, creating, styling (my job). I appreciate your interpretation and curation of perfume - its very engaging . Kudos. 🙂 Im curious to know how and where the individual scents are sampled and purchased. Maybe some kind of trade fair??
Thank you 🫶🏼 I can tell you here. For larger brands, every year there are “retailer strategy meetings” where a brand will present their retail partners the new launches. Niche brands also do this but if they’re in the starting phase, they will likely go to 3 main fragrance conferences (Esxence in Milan, Pitti in Florence and TFWA in Cannes) where distributors from all over the world will be present. The brands have booths / private showrooms where they present their fragrances and develop new business relationships. Voilà!
This is so fascinating! Thank you for sharing this! ❤ Would you perhaps be able to do a video on your favorite places to shop for perfumes in Paris? I’m travelling to Paris for the first time in April and I can’t wait to shop for perfumes there! I feel like there are more options in Paris than what we have here in Singapore!
Hallo Josephine, last year a bought a refill of a perfume and poured a part of it into plastic travel dispenser bought in a regular store, they sell travel sets with various types of pots for cosmetics and I simply used one mini bottle with a sprayer to put in some fragrance ( not expensive though, one from CK). I am just wondering if a perfume needs to be stored in glass or when in plastic bottle it will stay the same? Does the material of the container affect the substance of perfume?
This was really cool. Absolutely enjoyable and can't wait for the rest. Would love to see ingredients and juice manufacturing. I imagine massive vats like wine then into those pretty bottles
Let me know what topic you'd like to see next as part of this perfume industry behind the scenes series!
I would love to know how perfumers source their ingredients or maybe how they know they reached the final product
I would like to see how they obtain the naturals
I always wondered how they obteined musk before (from animals) and how they make it now? 🤔
Would be nice to see how is the process of maturation and maceration of a high quality perfum
Would love to see the creation process, how the raw materials are put together to get to the final product! Love that you are getting into the technical aspect of Fragrance making.❤
ooh this series looks so exciting!!
I’m so excited to share these behind the scenes videos. Working on several episodes so please share topics you’d like me to cover!
This series goes above and beyond!! I think many perfume lovers will enjoy and learn from these videos. Bravo Josephine!

I’ve often wondered how perfume bottles are manufactured ❤ and now I know!! Thank you so much for taking the time to do this!
Boxes, sprayer, metallic caps, meeting master perfumes and visiting their labs, manufacturing of perfumes juice everything
Very fascinated, thank you for showing us how its made!👌
Thank you 🫶🏼

Really appreciate this Josephine! So very interesting... love this type of content. Can't wait to watch ep 2!
This is going to be a great series!! I find all of this really fascinating. Thank you 🌹
This reminds me of the shorts on Mister Rogers Neighborhood showing how things are made. I still think about how they make stamps because of him!
I love this new series and find this so interesting! I’m ready for more! Thanks Josephine!❤

Yes! Great video. Finally smb does a deep dive into HOW, not only WHAT.
I' d appreciate how bottles are designed and what stands behind that.
Thank-you! Such an interesting series. Seeing how thorough the process of creating perfume bottles is, it’s a pity to recycle them when you’re done and not able to refill them. Although I believe more companies are doing this, right?

Super merci Sarah 😊

You are the only TH-camr who is presenting such content. Excellent idea 💡 👏🏼,
I hope you can present further videos about perfume manufacturing
Super interesting! Already loving this series. I would like to know how the olfactive pirámide of a perfume is made (I mean, how mixing essential oils makes some of the notes to be heart or base notes?)
Thank you for your question 😊

Thank you for this, looking forward to the next! As a guy, these could easily be 15-20 min vids and we will watch. A channel called Gamers Nexus has factory tours in Taiwan on how PC components are made. Those are among their moist watched.
what are the different jobs perfume industries have ?
how is a work day for a perfumer ? what does it look like ?
Fascinating. Thank you for sharing.
Interesting!! I can't wait for the others in the series.

I’m ready for this series ❤
*I love it* Great video. *Well done Jus de Rose* 🤩
Such a cool series. Well done! :)
So excited for this ❤❤
Fascinating Josephine!
This. Was. Fan. Tastic! ❤ So happy someone in the comm finally did a vid on the process! Loved the concision! Out of curiosity, what was that device that was plugged into your ears? 🤔 Customizable noise canceller?
Thank you 🥰 they were soft plastic earplugs that everyone had to cancel out the noise… lots of machinery and it gets loud
How its made series. Good to peek behind the curtain
So so excited for this haha!
