I've had my Tudor for a year and three months, and it's my everyday watch everywhere I go. I don't know why I love it so much, maybe because of the color(Milk White), which matches everything I wear. My Rolex GMT was usually inside the drawer because I stopped using it at this time.
I have the Tudor and I absolutely love it. It's one of my most favorite watches. Nothing I would change about it except maybe the thickness. I like the weight of it; it feels really good. It's a great value.
I have the exact Tudor for about a year. It’s the most expensive watch I own by a large margin. I just can’t justify a Rolex myself, they have gotten too expensive for me personally. I love the Tudor, and it keeps time +1s a day, which is amazing. My only complaint is what you mentioned about legibility. My eyes aren’t what they used to be and it takes more than a glance to tell the time without readers. But, it is absolutely gorgeous, very classy. It and fits me no problem at all, but I’m taller than average
I don’t understand the love for GMT watches. Do that many people keep track of 3 timezones? Can’t people just add or subtract small integers? To each their own.
I personally love GMTs for no reason at all. I don’t even travel much nor keep track of timezones. I just love the look of an extra pop of color or special hand. They all have enough water resistance for me. Im more likely to need a gmt than 600m of water resistance or a chronograph function, so why not get the extra aesthetics and function out of it..maybe im weird
I love GMT watches! In my finance and cybersecurity roles, I can effortlessly keep track of the USA, London, and Beijing time zones with just a quick glance-it's ideal! That’s one of the reasons I rely on them. If you don’t travel or work with multiple time zones, though, you’re probably just fine without one.
The Rolex GMT Master has been copied and homaged so much that I rather keep the Tudor which paradoxically is more exclusive and, in my humble opinion, a less blingy watch with a nicer vintage look.
Im Mr Grey and daily my BB41 GMT . Like you I use my tools. Another fact for me is the Tudor is the most accurate watch iv ever owned - since its birthday 2018 its constantly kept to 10-12 seconds a month
Another Great video! Love the comparison. I'm a big Rolex guy, but I am Tudor curious. No question that Tudor is an outstanding value. Also love to see you shoot videos with the family around. Really adds to the feeling that you're just a regular guy who is into watches and cheap audio. Keep up the great work!
I have both, but can't get through the video when you keep saying the Tudor bracelet does not taper? Did I get a later version of the watch, but mine tapers from 22mm down to about 17mm.
Love the "vacation-videos"! Both here and on the Cheap audioman which IS the channel to follow.. And this one of course. I say Tudor over Rolex any day, but.. I am a bit cheap and love the bargain side of things. Rolex is bad ass! And who doesnt know and love the brand? But I rather have two or three tudors, period. 🙂🇸🇪
I have been on two AD’s lists for some time now for a sprite for my wedding in November.. looking like I won’t get one in time so I am leaning towards the Tudor in the meantime until I get the call. Hopefully soon!
For me: GMT Master II > BB GMT BB58 > Submariner As you mentioned the Tudor is quite thick and the proportions of the text and indexes are a bit weird. The Rolex water resistance is a bit disappointing since it looks exactly like the submariner.
I've never owned either, but after all the reviews and videos I've seen, somehow I've grown bigger fondness for Tudor. Rolex's magic simply doesn't work on me
The GMT II ceramic has a triplock crown - same as the Subs and Dwellers. The caseback of a sub is thicker but if you’re subjecting your watch to pressures at depths where a Sub thickness caseback is needed then wear a dive watch. BTW a marine biologist & Rolex ambassador Sylvia Earle wears a Lady DateJust diving so a GMT II Ceramic (which has a triplock) should be good enough
I have 5 kids. You are a good dad. I have quite a few Tudors. I plan to collect quite a few more. A couple of years from now I’ll turn back Rolex and start to collecting them again. I have owned 2 vintage Rolex, a Cellini, and a modern Datejust. I’ll top my collection off with a few Rolex later. Right now I am loving my Tudors, especially the most recent ones. I really do enjoy them and I don’t worry about them. I just put them on and go. Great watches.
have the cermit submariner and the tudor opaline dial gmt. I love the tudor as a daily. I just dont worry about the dings and scratches. Recently got the omega ultra deep 75th anni and I prefer this to either. its stunning on the wrist and the smaller dial makes it look smaller on the wrist than 46mm. if you have a 7.5 inch wrist its a charmer to wear
You seem like a cool dude 👍 I can't come close to affording a Rolex, but my stepdad has one that he bought in 1971 for about $300 (!!!). I've grown up around it, and now that I'm an old man & a watch geek, I just find them WAY overrated at today's prices. The last time he got it serviced at an AD it cost him $1100!!!! WTF. Give me a nice Seiko and I'm a happy camper. Give me a cheap Vostok Amphibia and I'm a happy camper. And the Vostok is way more "original" and not so played out. Just my humble opinion.
@@cheapwatchman_official They really are "super fun" for lack of a better phrase. Quirky, weird, but an ingenious design for extreme deep pressure -- not that I'll ever be doing more than desk-diving with mine. I've only had mine for a few months, but really love it. It's not super accurate (though I've heard they can be easily regulated) & there's no hacking - but they just have that certain "something." I gotta say too that as many bad things as I've heard about acrylic crystals, I love it on the Amphibia. Looks great, gives awesome blur at different angles, and somehow seems cooler than it should. You should def get one and review it! Love your channel, keep up the good work :)
I hear what you're saying. However, Rolex and Tudor gets clicks. Also, watch collecting often matures this way. You start out with some nice, cheap, watches. Then you graduate to the more expensive pieces.
My god 100m is more than enough to go recreational diving. I’ve taken a 50 Hamilton diving 15m and not a single problem. Are you a commercial diver? If not enjoy your watches in the water 100m more than enough.
Tudor GMT is a very nice watch (Black Bay 58 GMT is even better) for a person who can't afford an $18K (since you can't get one for $12K at an AD) watch. And that Sprite blows that Tudor away because of its weight, size, colors, comfort and Everybody around the world will be jealous cause you're wearing a ROLEX.
@@cheapwatchman_official Congrats, you're a very lucky guy. I recently put this one on the top of my list since there wasn't a chance in hell I will ever get a Pepsi.
What a fun and lovely video! Thank you for sharing your vacation family funtime with all of us!
You are so kind

You and me both my friend 👍👏👏 I find I wear Tudor more than any of my other watches 👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Tudor beats Rolex piece for piece every time. Is a Tudor ever going to be a Rolex? Of course not. But in my opinion, being Tudor is enough for me.
Define beats? On price, yes. For every other metric, I'd argue the Rolex wins every time.
@@oliverrendall Availability...
@@Msgt_Slim I’d argue that makes it more of a thing. Who wants whatever one else can have/get. But I get your point.

For me I'm Tudor everytime, Rolex are just to much money for what you get , All the best from the UK 👍
Tudor for me every time in every way! - I have this opaline GMT and the bracelet does actually taper, but not as much as the sprite
I own the Tudor GMT Opaline and I absolutely love it. The watch is more stunning in person.
Agree. I love it too.
Do you feel you can wear with anything? Suit, casual?

I think Tudor can put the BB58 GMT movement into the BB GMT, so it can be thinner.

Congrats on the Sprite! Looks great and good to see Tudor continuing to rock as well. Happy Dad's Day!
Thanks! You too!
Will all de respect , Tudor bracelets have a tapper from 22 to 18 at the clasp
I recently picked up the BB58 GMT. It’s a great watch.
I’m about to purchase my first Tudor GMT and I’m conflicted between the Black dial and the Opaline dial

@ Awesome! I didn’t get it for the wedding but still waiting. Oyster or jubilee?
Oyster
The indices on the Tudor remind me of the older Rolex subs like the 1680 or 16800.
Sprite is weird looking being a LHD, I’d go Black ceramic GMT
For me:
GMT Master II > BB GMT
BB58 > Submariner
As you mentioned the Tudor is quite thick and the proportions of the text and indexes are a bit weird. The Rolex water resistance is a bit disappointing since it looks exactly like the submariner.
if you have a 7.25/ 7.5 inch wrist the BB GMT is a beauty to wear. Its been my go to for a while now
I like the Rolex for the depth of the numerals on the bezel. The Tudor looks painted on in comparison.
But which one sounds better?
I normally would go for the Tudor, but the Rolex wins. Love the destro crown, love the green, and it's slimmer.
I've never owned either, but after all the reviews and videos I've seen, somehow I've grown bigger fondness for Tudor. Rolex's magic simply doesn't work on me
Great reviews with surprising conclusion. The unique left handed Sprite is an investment piece and the Tudor is great a daily driver. Enjoy them both!
