(Tea channels still did not apologize to Gabbie for that- and I hate her, but still, that situation was not her fault, but those tea channels). The family actually even told Angelika that they do not want their texts to be used in the video, so instead of showing them on screen, Angelika just read them lmao, still going against the family's wishes. After Angelika contacted them, the family actually reached out to Gabbie, and mentioned that Angelika was acting weird. The family also said that any video made on their child by Gabbie will and had been approved by the family. Edit: the first sentence is my opinion. You are more than welcome to try and change it. Just do not make it personal, and throw around accusations because it is useless and not productive.

My nephew is surrounded by people who never tell him no. I asked my sister what she’s gonna do when he gets older and obviously the other kids and the teachers won’t deal with it. She just got mad at me. He’s now gonna be in grade 1 soon and he just screams and cries and has gotten pulled out of school a few times. The minute Gabbie said “this whole situation ruined my birthday” about Bianca’s death showed me that she didn’t care about the Devens’ family. I'm not diagnosing her because I literally have no credibility or authority to do so, but she checks off on the symptoms of narcissistic personality disorder. I don't really know if there are types of treatments for it, but clinical (talk) or cognitive behavioral therapy would be helpful for her.

Like your sister, I've also worked as an extra. Even Oscar winners have to sit around on set while the crew sets up shots. I recently worked a show with 2 Oscar winning actors that had to be on set for over 12 hours! That's just how set works!
Just thinking about that, like episodes of Star Trek all the people who have the most costuming or make up get filmed first and all their shots done because it’s a priority to get them done first. I've had been unfortunate enough to know in MY personal life, that adults 30 years and up (up to 50, in my own family and outside of it) are fully capable of Gabbie's behavior, if not worse. Not to validate it, or accept it as okay, but enough to know it exists... ...and to be sure to stay far the hell away from it, and the toxic effects it has, at all costs.
The food situation was clearly her own issue where she couldn’t control herself around junk food, and was pissed that there was junk food available on set. She threw tantrums because she was insecure about her impulsivity around eating and I guess wanted no one else to have any food so she couldn’t struggle with eating too much.
I follow a vegetarian diet for religious reasons and if there was a person who would go to the store and PERSONALLY buy my diet foods after I FAILED to fill out appropriate forms - I would be SOOOO grateful to them for accommodating my needs, not dissing them about how the situation turned out after my dumb-ass actions.
It’s honestly dangerous rhetoric for her to be sharing….she talks about how Joey and Daniel brought back her ED but every exposed text illustrates how deeply she seemed to already be in active ED behaviors and that ED mindset is exactly what fueled all her demands around food during filming.
I legitimately do not understand how anyone could be a “fan” of Gabbie. I’ve never followed her but I see the drama all over Twitter mentioned all the time. In pretty much every instance, it’s her causing it and it’s her in the wrong.
She wants the clicks that drama give her. Sure, she had been doing her own thing for half a year and not getting into any drama, but no one was paying attention to her besides the small fraction of her audience that remained and that must have been eating at her ego. She couldn’t even get her new channel to 100k despite weeks of heavy promotion and her original channel having 5m+. She’s lost many fans over this drama, but as I’ve noticed she sucks at looking at the bigger picture and thinks ahead to the future, but in the meantime she has a bunch of attention and talk around her so she’s gotten what she wanted. Only later when all this has finally and fully died down and she’s left with even less of an audience is she gonna realize that she fucked up, but she’s just gonna start the cycle again because of her need for instant gratification rather than slowly rebuilding her reputation into something more sustainable.

Bianca was literally murdered and Gabbie talks about it so casually to victimize herself, as if that entire family isn’t grieving and a girl she accidentally exploited is dead. She truly seems to have no compassion or understanding of how serious and traumatic these things she uses for drama are - both of which should also have nothing to do with Gabbie, yet she keeps inserting herself into these traumas and creating deeper wounds.

It’s psychological projection. A lot of people who do bad things do it because they think that, if everyone else is secretly plotting to do something bad, then they are justified in doing it to begin with. Cheaters, abusers, compulsive liars, and the like will accuse others of the bad things they’ve done to take attention and scrutiny away from themselves and put it on someone else.
plus no matter how fair and unbiased channels try to be (even though she doesn't deserve it at this point) she WILL NOT hesitate to call their coverage abuse and dehumanizing once she - god forbid- resurfaces
what bothers me most about gabbie’s complaints about being on set for a long time is that she doesn’t recognize how privileged she is to be able to make thousands of dollars by quite literally just sitting around and waiting. not to mention, escape the night was an amazing opportunity for her to grow her following/brand and even show a different side of her.

She speaks on a social media for a living - the idea that she was "never able to tell her side" is absolutely ridiculous. she's told her "side" of things constantly for years - but if seems that in her mind, if her side isn't recognized as the correct one where she is the tragic heroine of the story, then it doesn't count.

Gabbie’s use of her ADHD as an excuse made me self-conscious about getting a ADD diagnosis, influenced me to put it off for months and made me doubt that I had it and that I just wanted an excuse. How she uses ADHD is damaging to everyone with that type of neurodiversity.
Amen. Getting that diagnosis can help explain why you behave a certain way and hep you understand your challenges. ADHD has A LOT of benefits. Understanding the challenges helps you become your best self. It does not excuse being a mean spirited.
ADHD brains are wired a little differently. We often think outside the box, are creative and because we are used to being criticized we are often empathic toward others. Being different often gives you a different point of view. If you take time to understand how to navigate ADHD you harness your differences to your advantage.
Having ADHD is what it is. It's just something that's a part of you, not a reason to be bad to other people. I have experienced similar struggles to what Gabbie is talking about, but to me that's "something I need to work on" not "something other people need to put up with".
I can't stand ricegum, but I think it's important to point out that Gabbie did lie about what he did in that situation to make it seem worse. She was blaming him for bruises that she's been documented having before the incident and she downplayed her instigation of the argument. That in no way makes his actions okay or not aggressive, but I think it speaks a lot to her character that she felt the need to lie EVEN in a situation where she would've come out on top just by telling the truth. It's like a compulsive need to be *completely* right on every level, as opposed to any admittance that you behaved poorly, even if you didn't deserve the escalation of events.
My memory may be blurred because I was a fan of both of theirs at the time (terrible, I know). But I remember her just reacting and showing where she was hit and in a TH-cam video she said “I’m not saying he beat my ass at all”
Exactly! I think a lot of people commenting on her series now are viewing that situation as if people back in the day were actually on Ricegum's side. Which wasn't the case at all - everyone called out Ricegum for overreacting and being overly aggressive and that he shouldn't have escalated the situation. But new commentary channels seem to think that people calling out Gabbie for lying is saying none of it happened.

Hey, I know chapter 3 was your shortest chapter because you weren't familiar with the situation but I think its important to clarify how severe the infraction was on gabbies part. She dm'd that fan Jessie's private medical info as well as screenshots of their private conversations. It was a masterful manipulation that put an average person at a huge power disadvantage knowing way more about Jessie than a fan should, without either of their consent.
The whole series is just nuts. (Tea channels still did not apologize to Gabbie for that- and I hate her, but still, that situation was not her fault, but those tea channels).
The family actually even told Angelika that they do not want their texts to be used in the video, so instead of showing them on screen, Angelika just read them lmao, still going against the family's wishes. After Angelika contacted them, the family actually reached out to Gabbie, and mentioned that Angelika was acting weird. The family also said that any video made on their child by Gabbie will and had been approved by the family.

My nephew is surrounded by people who never tell him no. I asked my sister what she’s gonna do when he gets older and obviously the other kids and the teachers won’t deal with it. She just got mad at me. He’s now gonna be in grade 1 soon and he just screams and cries and has gotten pulled out of school a few times. It’s sad to see because it isn’t really his fault and he just wasn’t given enough discipline.

I didn’t tell the secret maliciously, exactly - the Friend B and Friend A were actually family, I thought Friend B already knew - and I genuinely felt terrible and apologized profusely. I respected her wishes and kept my distance.
It’s been just over ten years since that happened, I still haven’t seen her to this day. I don’t think I’m a terrible person, but Friend A has the right to be pissed, it was a shitty thing I did. I think of that every time I see one of these “dramas” on the Internet. Like, girl, just admit that you did a shitty thing and move on.

I have a phrase that I say in situations like this: “There is a point at which getting therapy for yourself becomes a public service to others.” Gabbie is SOOOOO far past that point, it’s not even funny.

The food situation was clearly her own issue where she couldn’t control herself around junk food, and was pissed that there was junk food available on set. She’s lost many fans over this drama, but as I’ve noticed she sucks at looking at the bigger picture and thinks ahead to the future, but in the meantime she has a bunch of attention and talk around her so she’s gotten what she wanted. Only later when all this has finally and fully died down and she’s left with even less of an audience is she gonna realize that she fucked up, but she’s just gonna start the cycle again because of her need for instant gratification rather than slowly rebuilding her reputation into something more sustainable.

Gabbie’s use of her ADHD as an excuse made me self-conscious about getting a ADD diagnosis, influenced me to put it off for months and made me doubt that I had it and that I just wanted an excuse. How she uses ADHD is damaging to everyone with that type of neurodiversity.

ADHD brains are wired a little differently. We often think outside the box, are creative and because we are used to being criticized we are often empathic toward others. Being different often gives you a different point of view. If you take time to understand how to navigate ADHD you harness your differences to your advantage.
Having ADHD is what it is. It's just something that's a part of you, not a reason to be bad to other people. I have experienced similar struggles to what Gabbie is talking about, but to me that's "something I need to work on" not "something other people need to put up with".
I can't stand ricegum, but I think it's important to point out that Gabbie did lie about what he did in that situation to make it seem worse. She was blaming him for bruises that she's been documented having before the incident and she downplayed her instigation of the argument. That in no way makes his actions okay or not aggressive, but I think it speaks a lot to her character that she felt the need to lie EVEN in a situation where she would've come out on top just by telling the truth. It's like a compulsive need to be *completely* right on every level, as opposed to any admittance that you behaved poorly, even if you didn't deserve the escalation of events.
My memory may be blurred because I was a fan of both of theirs at the time (terrible, I know). But I remember her just reacting and showing where she was hit and in a TH-cam video she said “I’m not saying he beat my ass at all”
Exactly! I think a lot of people commenting on her series now are viewing that situation as if people back in the day were actually on Ricegum's side. Which wasn't the case at all - everyone called out Ricegum for overreacting and being overly aggressive and that he shouldn't have escalated the situation. But new commentary channels seem to think that people calling out Gabbie for lying is saying none of it happened.
